  • Can you help me understand a crochet pattern?

    I'm new to crocheting and have been wanting to follow this pattern for a while but am having trouble understanding it. I have no problem making the double ring but I'm lost from then on. I've tried researching tutorials but they don't help. If you can help me in any way, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

    Instructions are:

    R1: with yellow work 5sc in double ring, ch1, turn.

    R2-8: inc 5sc evenly spaced, ch1, turn

    R9-16: work even, ch1 turn

    R17-22: dec 5sc evenly spaced, ch1, turn

    R23: dec 5 sc evenly spaced, break yarn and with yarn needle sew the remaining 5 stitches together in a ring shape.

  • is it bad to negotiate the out the door price on a new car?

    I'm looking to buy a new 2008 Rav4. This is my first time ever buying from a dealer. I've been emailing a dealer and I somehow ended up negotiating the OTD price. Is it bad to do so? I JUST read somewhere that you shouldn't negotiate the otd price for a car.

  • What to get for my first legal drink?

  • need a little help solving distance problem?

    Flying with the wind, a plane takes 1hr to go from city A to city B. Flying against the wind, the plane takes 2hrs to go from city B to city A. The trip from A to B is 200 miles. What is the speed of the plane and the wind?

    a = speed of plane, w = speed of plane

    I've only been able to get this far..

    (a+w)*1=200

    (a-w)*2=200

    a+w=200

    2a-2w=200

    I know I need to substitute the problems then plug that number back in to get the second answer, but how do I do it?
