What is the likelihood to get accepted into Navy OCS?
I have wanted to apply for OCS with the navy for quite some time. I was in the process of applying before and I tore my ACL sadly. So, I am almost fully healed and am going to try and submit a package. I am 23 years old and graduated college about a year ago. I am working full time as a graphic designer at the moment. While I was in college I played division 3 volleyball, was a member of best buddies, special olympics, and volunteered at the SPCA. My GPA was a 3.1 overall. In addition, I am fairly athletic (prior to my knee surgery). I was able to run a 6:00 mile and was fairly strong and could do over 70 pushups (real pushups I might add). In addition, I was the captain of my volleyball team for club, high school, and college.
I have two family friends that were both Commanders in the Navy and they both said that they would write me a letter of recommendation and would set up interviews with me with Admirals.
I am wondering what are my odds that I can get into Officer Candidate School? I am thinking of trying to go SWO or be a flight officer.
