Am I over-reacting or is this completely out of line. I dont think the "oh he's showing off" line is acceptable either.

I feel completely betrayed and embarassed. What are your thoughts.. Men's opinions are also completely welcome!

The car was running fine, temperature wise. It started to get hot and we realized a fan wasnt running. It turned out to be the relay so we replaced it. The car never over heated thankfully. At the time, the heat would work as long as you were driving. NOW the car is overheating. According to the gauge inside the car, its gets hot, over heats and shuts down, then magically the temperature drops to normal. We cant find any leaks, so I figured the thermostat was bad and was pushing coolant out the over flow. Replaced the termostat. It is still over heating and now the car doesnt have any heat at all. I checked the floor board and it isnt wet, so I wasnt thinking heater core. The car isnt smoking but when you turn the heat on it blows cold and the lights dim. I dont think the water pump is bad but its a possibility. What should we do next? The oil/water and water/oil also checks out... so i dont think/hope the head or block isnt cracked.

Brown spotting that lasted an hour or two, feel sick to my stomach, period was suppose to come around Nov. 20?

Not sure whats going on here. I have posted another question but now my circumstances have changed. I thought I was finally getting my period but all that happened was some brown spotting that appears to have stopped. I feel terribly sick, almost like I am getting a stomach flu. My last period was around October 20 (ish). I didnt get a period in November at all. Every now and then I feel a little bit of a cramp, but have felt mostly normal all last month and so far this month. I have never had any children and my period was normal up until this past year. What could the problem be? I dont think i'm pregnant since I am feeling a slight cramp..

Any ideas?

I'm 22 years old, not living at home. Fafsa still requires parents tax information until age 25 or maried etc? How can I go about getting this information without being able to get it from my parents, who will not give it to me? Is there anything I can do or can I just go by my income? Help please..

We have a major problem. My daughter is turning 3 next Monday but doesnt WANT to turn 3, she wants to be a baby again.

She does not want a birthday party, presents or anything.. she just wants to eat baby food again, drink a bottle, wear a diaper etc. This started after I was watching a child her age that was still using a bottle and diapers (I DONT watch her anymore and its been about a week since)

I had to give in to her wanting the diapers because she was purposely urinating on herself, even during a 1 hour nap.. because she wants a diaper. She doesnt want to drink from her cup anymore either.. just a bottle. She hasnt used one since age 1.

She isnt playing much with her toys anymore either, shes just being a "baby".. acting like one, with pretend crying .. etc.

What in the world should we do about this? I dont understand it because she is a very smart girl. She really isnt talking with words as much either, just baby talk.. unless she "forgets" shes being a baby at the time, but she quickly remembers.

I dont know if this is just a phase or some kind of psycholigical problem.. etc.

Advice please? We cant keep up with this much longer.. and I dont want to just ignore it.

Ok. We are having MAJOR issues with my daughter putting things into her mouth. If its not her hands, its other things, more dangerous. Normally she will be playing somewhere and I come around and talk to her, only to find that she has a peice of plastic in her mouth. Usually a pen cap, a milk jug ring or something of the same consitancy. I dont know where she keeps finding these things, or if shes stashing them but we have tried for months to break her "chewing" habbit. I'll be honest, I have gotten to the point of spanking her when I find things in her mouth. A couple months ago she got some rocks from our driveway, hid them, and was found choking to death, litterally, blue and not breathing. She does all of this in minutes or less, because she isnt left unattended for more than a few minutes. I stay at home, and dont leave without her of course. We thought it was a phase from back when she was still around a year old, but its continued and is getting to be a bigger problem.. and now shes going to be 3 in a couple weeks. My son did this around the age of 2 but hasnt been putting things in his mouth since before he was her age, and hes now 4 1/2.

Any suggestions?

This is another question about the kids I babysit! Sorry folks.

I wanted to ask and get some info from some other parents out there.

I have noted in both of my questions that the toddler I watch is 2 1/2.

I was VERY concerned when I started watching her because she doesnt speak, relys on a bottle and diapers, etc.

When I noticed that she DOES NOT respond to her name, I checked the signs of autism online. She displays all but 2 of the signs of autism. Shes unresponsive almost all day long, she doesnt react to pain, (even when she ran smack dab into the bricks on the fireplace) but she freaks when the baby crys.

Should I even mention this to her parents??

Her mom is a nursing student who should know some of these things but seems to act like she doesnt think anything is wrong. I'm not an expert, but I do know alot about the speech thing, because my daughter HAD to go to speech/eating therapy. She told us that 2 of her other kids are in speech therapy because she disregarded their issues until school age. She has 6 kids total, so I KNOW its hard to give them all individual attention.

Should I let it go, or should I say something.

I want to continue to watch these kids, I enjoy them but I cant handle a 2 1/2 year old who WILL NOT LISTEN or respond to my advances in getting her attention. I'm not much of a quitter though.

Some of you know I have been conflicting with the children I babysit every week. My first question was about the money. I'm only getting paid 50/wk for 1 toddler and 1 infant.. which is 73 cents an hour at 34 hours a week.

Her toddler is 2 1/2 years old. When she came to me last week, in soaked diapers, and a bottle I was a bit taken back by it. I do not beleive a child of her age and size should be using a baby bottle, or even a diaper anymore. I have pretty sucessfully potty trained her. She already KNEW how to use the toilet, so I beleive the diaper was just a parental thing. To make things easier on them, because she can change herself.

The bottle is a big no no for me. I have an almost 3 year old little girl, who hasnt used a bottle since the age of 1. Now she thinks its okay.

This child I watch crys for a bottle, and throws a fit when I dont give her one.

Should I stick to my rules and not give her the bottle, or should I just give it to her to shut her up, like her parents do. (Her mom told me they give it to her to shut her up)

Suggestions? Comments? Answers?

Well.. she will be 3 this month.

She woke up this morning screaming about her stomach hurting, then it was her throat. Her temp was 103, I gave her tylenol and a popsicle, which she did not eat. The only thing she has had today is a couple bites of oatmeal, a peice of hashbrown and about a half a cup of chili. The rest were liquids, but not near enough liquids. Now, she complains of a headache, a severe headache, crying, lots of crying. I checked her temp again, its now 102.6. I gave her the last dose of tylenol we had, and made her comfortable in her bed. Shes probably asleep already, but I doubt for long.

Do you think this is the flu, or something more serious. So far no one else is sick. Knock on wood.

Recently I picked up a babysitting job from an ad I saw at the store. I already have two chldren, so I figured, why not 2 more.

For the past week I have watched 2 children, ages 2 1/2 and 7 months. I worked about 34 hours last week, and i'm up to about 12 hours so far this week. I was paid 50 dollars for 34 hours last week. Which, one of those was a 12 hour day. I calculated it all up, and thats less than 75 cents per child, per hour. I didnt realize when I accepted the job that days would be so long, etc. I have sucessfully potty trained the 2 1/2 year old just in the last week that I have watched her. She doesnt really talk alot, and doesnt mind what-so-ever. She is also given a bottle still. She is alot more work than I was told she was.

My real question is, how much would YOU pay for 2 children at 34 hours a week. Am I wrong to ask for more money? How should I go about asking for more money?

Any help would be appreciated.

PS I really like the family, so I dont want to upset them and I would like to continue watching the kids. I have a 4 year old and a 3 year old myself.. they like to play.

I added fish a few days ago.. all my levels WERE fine. I cycled the tank or so I had thought and the fish even made it through the whole ordeal. Even the pet store told me it was safe now to add more fish.

The fish seem like they are always hungry now since I added an air stone and there are bubbling coming to the top..

(could there be a connection, or do they like bubbles? lol)

Checked my levels and my Nitrite is reading nearly 5.0...

I did switched out about a gallon or so of water..

I added a bit of cycle to the tank..

What else can I really do?

98 Chevy Lumina. 140k miles. Transmission suddenly "went out" so we added transmission fluid to it, actually over filled it. Then it went out again so we syphined out the excess transmission fluid, it was pretty dark in color. Car acted fine, then the transmission went out again. Now its working again.. very unpredictable. What could be the problem? Any suggestions?

I just got a platy from the petstore today, a few of them had dark spots in their stomach area... i didnt really think much of it until I got home for a closer look. Is it pregnant? If so, what to do? The tank has 3 platys (1 larger one, 2 dwarf) and 2 painted tetras

My fiance (custodial parent) was divorced last year. Seprated since Sept, 2006. Ex wife (non custodial parent) went to family services and got temp cash assisance-welfare, who WERE NOT living with her bc she abanoded the marriage and moved away. After many many court hearings, he got his TAX REFUND intercepted for 4900.00 in past support and to pay back TANIF that was received by the ex wfie. She lied to family services to get the money. When we got a judgement which should have been in our favor, he was only abated 1200.00 of the 4900.00 because of her lies. We showed proof which I guess was not good enuff. Recently, the ex wife went to child support and family services and told them SHE LIED and that she wanted to pay the money back herself. family services told us that since she no longer has a file with them, that a fraud case was out of the ?. They said it was our fault -she lied and that they never found out and since they were his kids, hes obligated to pay.

Months and months later after numerous battles in court, I still have to owe child support even tho its BOGUS. Child support enforcement has an intercept/off set for my tax refund. I filed taxes today and I know I wont be getting the money now. I have heard from alot of people that even when my balance is finally $0.00 dollars at child support I may never get my refund because I have to pay back all the temporary assistance that my ex got. Its over 4 thousand dollars. Has anyone had anything like this happen and will I ever get my tax refund? State is Missouri and I have full custody of the kids, and always have been. Is it possbile to sue child support enforcement for allowing her to keep lying?

I split from my wife in 08/2006. I had to get a protection order against her for my kids and I. She took my check book and wrote checks to various people and places during Dec 06 .. into January of 07 after the protection order. The account was not in her name, just mine.. because we had been split. I had been told that because she was still my WIFE until March that I couldnt press charges.. but it was just hear-say.

She has since lied to the state to get TANIF, food stamps, and federal housing.. saying she had the kids the whole time. We are in a nasty battle over that right now.

Can I take her to small claims court or file charges against her?
