Is it a sign of aging when..........?
you rummage in your bag for something to console a crying child and all you can find is a half-empty bag of dried prunes?
Any other signs of aging?

5 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships8 years agoHas anyone out there called me lately?
Just wondering cos my esteemed (not) Blackberry normally permits me to listen to a portion of a garbled voicemail the day after it is left, but today I received one left Jan 28th by my GP re r..results *gulp* and so I thought I'd better ask if anyone else had been in touch??
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoDo you think florists really LIKE flowers?
I doubt it - business only. Watched someone on telly earlier casually hairspray some yellow carnations - keeps the fresh look - yeah they're cut and dying already but it's like they are being wilfully poisoned.

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoWhen digital switchover occurs will I be okay with satellite dish but no Sky subscription?
Have a freesat digital box which I want to sell as get more stations through satellite dish despite not subscribing to Sky etc any longer - should I keep it for switchover or will satellite dish and 2006 TV suffice?
Thanks
2 AnswersTiVO & DVRs9 years agoSafety of burning phurnacite on open fire?
The fuel sites recommend phurnacite coal but refer mostly to stove-burning without actually saying it is harmful to breathe. Burning it in stove or on open fire in our house produces an acrid smell/taste even 2 storeys up and I wonder as to its safety - just came across inflammatory (sorry) article on bosses knowing cancer fears for long-term employees in phurnacite factory while researching for Q

2 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans1 decade agoWill aloe vera pups without roots take?
Am pretty sure I took off pups last year, dipped in rooting gel and they took okay. Did the same a couple of weeks ago and want to sell @ local car boot. ANyone know for sure if the hormone gel help roots to appear - I don't want to sell duds!!
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoActivities guaranteed to elicit advice from a passing know-it-all? What are yours?
I'd go for gardening, fishing, golfing, photography for starters - actually throw in painting, washing the car, cleaning the windows, walking the dog, speaking to your kid - everyone has an opinion and it's "the right one" - if they could wander past as you cook the dinner, wash the dishes, there'd be a better way offered!!

Mine, who had been purring gently under the duvet with me listening to the so-relaxing Kim Leneghan This New Day radio show this morning, broke into forte con brio purr when he came on - or could it have been the Chieftains? PJ Kavanagh?

6 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoDid you know your credit card company can charge you for paying EARLY?!?
What next?? Just because I am careful to pay the minimum on a 0% balance transfer to MBNA monthly, and paid it in early February for believe-it-or-not the February statement, they have whacked on a £12 late payment charge because it was paid just before the Feb statement AND started charging whatever the excessive interest rate is, bringing fines to £40 so far - that's for me trying to keep on top of things??!
Yeah maybe it's in the fine print somewhere and maybe they can get away with it (financial institute=no boundaries whatsoever) but is it even remotely FAIR?
6 AnswersOther - News & Events1 decade agoHas anyone ever had a clear answer from Barclaycard?
Umpteen emails in and I can't get a simple answer to a simple question about charging interest when I pay my balance in full - either only half the question is answered or it's policy-blah-confidentiality-blah-standard-rate-blah, but no reason why I am being charged a small fortune. They seem to operate a service of evasiveness only.

For me it's when the dental floss won't fall off my finger into the bin - turns me into a female version of Michael Douglas in Falling Down.
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoAnyone have problems with Airtricity in NI?
I was signed up in a mall in November, still charged by NIE in January, contacted agent who said he'd get back to me and didn't, emailed Airtricity who have not replied...!! They have my bank details - that's the annoying bit - thought they were supposed to be the new be all...
Spellchecker substitutes Atrocity for Airtricity - maybe it's smarter than I thought.
2 AnswersBelfast1 decade agoIs it me or do commercials speed up when they know you're just about to switch stations?
1. I don't watch commercials
2. The yabbering was getting on my nerves
So I went to switch and the controls stuck - could have sworn the dialogue moved to that fastforward- terms and conditions-speak that you hear on some adverts.

Ask them to do a small chore and next thing you find yourself running around like a lab rat in the platoon mustered to complete the operation.
