  • Becoming a Canadian citizen?

    My mother was a Canadian citizen when I was born, and therefore, I am able to apply to become a Canadian citizen. I'm heavily considering becoming a Canadian citizen if John McCain gets elected, and moving to Montreal or Nova Scotia or something.

    Two questions:

    1) If I obtain my Canadian citizenship, will I have to then give up my US citizenship?

    2) If I obtain my Canadian citizenship, and choose to continue living in the US, would I then need to obtain a work permit in order to work legally in the US?
