  • Is plowing a city street illegal?

So I have a big truck with a plow on it and by my mothers house the street is usually left unplowed for days after a storm. So what I do is usually go down and push from the main road to the end of the street drive back and push down in the other lane to open it up (pushing the snow into my yard witch is all the way at the end of the street)

I was doing it this morning and a cop came down the street lit me up and wrote me 2 tickets. One for a taillight out and one for driving in the opposite lane (was doing that to push the snow from the other lane downthe street into MY yard so its not a problem for other people)

Than he told me that if he ever caught me plowing a city street again he would have my truck impounded. Is plowing a street really illegal ?

I am just trying to help my mom, neighbors and the city out!

*The cop was also a young guy so could that have been part of it ?

  • what truck should i get?

So im looking at Ford F-250 and F-350's from model years 2008-2010 in a crew cab short box in a lariant or king ranch trim. looking for some input from current owners on weather to go with the 6.4L diesel or the 5.4l gas (witch i heard is under powered but i would rather a gas truck for the lower initial cost and maintenance unless its going to be severely under powered)

Im also looking for any major known problems with this year that i might have to address and any additional info would be fantastic

My budget is around 30-35k but if i spend less I sure wont be crying about it

  • Converter for Ipod/phone connector to Headphone jack?

OK so i just got myself a new car and in the glove-box it has one of the cable that allows you to hook up your ipod to the car stereo system and play sound though it, now that would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that i don't have an IPod. I'm wondering if their would be something that i could buy and plug onto it and than just use it as a headphone jack to allow me to use it with my phone, mp3 player ect....

    Thanks
