  • How long until we can resolve full color photos of exoplanets?

To date there have been 238 exoplanets "published." These planets have been discovered by observing the gravitational "wobble" of their parent stars. If the scientists get REALLY lucky and the planet is orbits on a line of sight between earth and its parent star, we can then determine, roughly, what the planet is made up of. So my question is, with interest continually growing in extrasolar planets, how long will it be before we start seeing this planets through advanced telescopes? Is it even possible to pinpoint planet sized objects that far away? Or is it a matter of getting in line to use Hubble or other telescopes?

  • What is the average rate of accelleration for a boeing 737 passenger jet?

I took a weekend trip this past weekend flying Southwest on a Boeing 737. It peeked my curiosity to know what amount of force was being placed on me to get the aircraft in flight. If you know I would like to know how many gee's we were being placed under during the initial take off.

  • Help me find a dinosaur collection please?

My little brother, turning 6 this year, is as interested in dinosaurs as I was at his age. He has more dinosaur toys than he knows what to do with, so I was thinking that for his birthday I would like to start him off with a collection that he could continue...I would very much like an informational collection so that he can learn about each dinosaur as he collects it. I appreciate any help you can give me!

  • More of a public opionion question on space travel...? Please NO STUPIDITY ON THIS QUESTION!?

Has anyone ever thought that perhaps the reason we've come to a drag in space travel technology is possibly b/c at this point we really have no where to go? I mean we have yet to discover another earthlike planet where life could exist. My question is...if suddenly we spotted an "Earth 2" (for lack of a better term) do you think technology would suddenly ramp up to try to get there? Keep in mind people generally are more productive with a desireable goal in sight...?

  • Brain Capacity? No stupid comments please...?

I've been looking all over trying to find out what new research is being done to explore the "hidden talents" of our brain. Supposedly we use a very small percentage of our brains, some say that there are areas of our brain which only awaken for certain tasks...others say that there are parts of our brain that that lie dormant and waiting to be awakened. Now for the moment lets leave out telepathy and telekenesis. How about better understanding of complex equations...more attention span. What are the leading credible scientists researching this topic?

  • Is energy-matter conversion an implausible concept?

Everybody dreams of getting something from nothing. Everything in the universe is made from tiny particles of energy...so theoretically we should be able to turn that energy into matter by arranging the particles. I know that scientists do this on a small scale when placing elements under extreme pressure to force the particles with in the elements together to form new elements. Bot on a larger scale...how feesible would it be to convert energy into a cup of coffee?

  • A liquid body in space? Credible scientific minds only...?

Is it possible for a liquid body to exist in space with no solid core? If so what conditions would be neccessary for this to occur?
