I wanna upgrade my 06 colorado with a flowmaster 44 but the whole kit is like $500 Can I just buy the $80 muffler and still get that crisp sound or do all the pipes really make the difference?

is it bad to put water ON an engine? After i went mudding my engine was caked with mud and I was hosing it down with water and the engine steamed, obviously because an engine at normal temperature is way hotter than the average temperature of water that comes out of a hose, is this bad? The engine was steaming a little bit, obviously because cold water and hot things makes steam, anyways I just figured water on a warm engine is nothing to worry about but tell me if otherwise

I have an 06 Colorado with a 3.5L I5 engine I have a cold air intake on it and thats as much as i've done performance wise so far, I think stock colorados get somewhere between 18/22 mpg but since I have wide allterrain tires i get around 14, 15 if im lucky around town and 19-20 highway what other upgrades can i make to improve my mileage? I've heard fuel catalysts can help and computer modules but since i just recently got my truck I'm not really sure, thanks
