I'm a Junior in the field of Electrical Engineering. And a Senior in the field of Nuclear Engineering. During the summer and holiday season I work at a camera store. Since the store that I work at pays some commission, I have learned that it is best to sell the customer exactly what they will use and need. The reason for this, there is no profit in returns. And when you sell someone what they need they are more likely to refer other people to you. It is best for someone to have a camera that works for their needs.

  • Painted against the grain...?

I was out of town and my wife was going to be useful and paint some doors to a bathroom we are remodeling. However, she did not understand that you should always paint with the grain of the wood... There are two layers each of primer and latex paint of the door at this time and the brush strokes go every direction. I really hate trying to strip the paint as I do not know how the door will respond to a paint stripper (cheaper door from the 70's). What would be the best path to correct the grain issue (and are there any other options)?

  • Is frozen tuna and salmon at the grocery store safe for sushi?

I live in the mid-west and a long ways from any major city that has a good Asian grocery store.

My local grocery store (Hy-Vee) has frozen vacuum pack tuna, salmon. As this fish is frozen, is it safe for consuming raw as sashimi/sushi if thawed properly?

I have a specialized computer card that was made for an ISA slot. Is there any way to incorporate that card into a new computer? say with a USB or PCI modification?
