As you can see from my Q&A, I like to venture here to answer questions regarding Romany Gypsies. We are one of the most mysterious ethnic groups in the world, having learned to keep to ourselves due to persecution. And in an age of information, our reclusiveness is not working for us, but against us. So in 2005 I started to advocate for Roma people online. Back then, I was met with great opposition from both Roma and Gadje (non-Gypsies). As my beliefs about my Romany culture where against the "knowledge-of-the-masses", for example, as found in Wikipedia. Such common beliefs include Romany Indian origins, which is false. Thank goodness I live in the beautiful country of Australia where I don't have to fear persecution. And I'm not in survival mode, as many Roma in the world are. God bless them. I have time to listen to question and share what I know about our culture and origins. < http://tatchodrom.net - my journaling blog >

  • Are Spider Webs Edible?

Yes, weird question, but I know that there's a lot of things that are edible in this world. I was wondering if anywhere in the world, spider webs were considered part of the diet, and if so, is there therapeutic/nutritional factor?
