What is a good replacement for a GeForce 8600 GT video card in an XP desktop?
my video card has gone out and I need to replace it. I don't care to upgrade, just replace with like kind and quality.
I have a GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB DDR3 dual DVI.
Also, is this something that is easy to install, ummm plug and play, or does it need a PC repair guy to find drivers, etc.?

For instance, if what they are talking about does not apply to me, and I start working on another project, can they see I'm doing something else?

If so, Les Miles did him a great injustice.
5 AnswersFootball (American)9 years agoHow do I delete a downloaded but not installed Microsoft update?
I have an update that will not install. After researching it causes problems for XP Media Center, so it just needs to be hidden. How do I remove the download of it and get out of the cycle of being told I have updates to install?
3 AnswersSoftware9 years agoCan tie rods be replaced w/o the struts in a quick fix situation?
My son has a 2000 Honda Civic that needs the tie rods and struts replaced. Tie rods are $200 for both to be replaced. Struts are $700. He has little money but must to make a road trip for 900 miles. No way around not driving that car. Would you recommend getting the tie rods for certain before making that trip?

I'm leaning toward CNN. Maybe Cat Deeley and Piers Morgan have a better perspective of the nuances of all things British.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow do I get ALL songs to move into an iTunes library on a PC?
I did add folder to library. Only half of the songs moved into the library. I've tried moving the "lost" songs one at a time, but that does not work either. All of the songs - those that moved and those that did not are *.mp3. Only 20% of the disk space is used on the PC.
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoWould you give the exact words Tim Tebow said in Everything in Between?
I'm looking for the three or four sentences he said - about the end of the day, it's about did I work the hardest? Was I the best today? etc. It was toward the end of the documentary.
I don't find this scheduled again on ESPN except for on ESPNU on February 18 and I don't get that. That's supposed to be the last airing shown on their schedule through April.
1 AnswerFootball (American)1 decade agoIs there a particular name for the fat round DSL cord that runs from the phone jack to the modem?
My cord has been cut and I need to replace it. All I can find are the flat regular phone line cords. I guess it is against the rules to ask for a specific link.
3 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoWhat are some radio stations in Nashville that you can listen to online that are NOT country?
I prefer something in the 80s, 90s, and today (my favorite on Slacker) genre. I especially would like a station that has a talk show format with that kind of music in between. My daughter's family is moving to Nashville and would like to get a feel for the area.
I usually listen to 107.9 The Link out of Charlotte, NC and their personalities throughout the day.

1 AnswerFacebook1 decade agoIs there a website to tell when certain movies are opening near or within a radius around you?
Such as if a movie is being released for Thanksgiving, is there a site that I can use to find how far I might have to travel to see the movie or if it may just be released in my area in a couple of weeks.
2 AnswersMovies1 decade agoIs there a PENSACOLA FL mall with a Nordstrom or White House Black Market?
I thought there was a mall in Pensacola that had high end stores and regular type stores, too. Maybe a Nordstrom, White House Black Market, a See's Candies. If there is, can you give me a link to the directory. Every mall I'm trying to find always leads me to the Simon directory. I want the actual mall directory - not a sales ad by Simon.
I'm having to post this under Orlando - that's the closest I can get to Pensacola!

2 AnswersPreferences and Settings1 decade agoWhat happens when you go to a surgeon for boils or abscesses?
The family physician has already done two I&D procedures on this same site. The second one he said he removed the sac/gland that was causing the abscess. Both of these were treated with antibiotics, Levaquin and Cleocin. It is back in the same spot. Now he is referring us to a surgeon. What else does a surgeon do besides the removal of the gland/sac? Is that something the surgeon will take care of on your first visit to his office? Is it something that will have to be done as an outpatient procedure at an outpatient surgical clinic?

both are 200 pin. I have upgraded a laptop that used PC2-4200. Rather than putting the 1 g in a drawer, will it work to put them in a laptop with 512 at PC2-5300? Will it really make any difference?
1 AnswerDesktops1 decade agoCan a Dlink 655 router be causing my DECT 6 phone to disconnect?
I have a new D-Link DIR655 router on cable internet. I have the Panasonic 6.0 DECT (1.9 GHz frequency band) on an AT&T landline. Ever since I installed the new router in my office, my Panasonic phone calls randomly disconnect. It is always when I am in the middle of business calls that my phone disconnects. Very aggravating and unprofessional. Is there a solution?
