This was a really old book children's book from the 80s or 90s or maybe older. The main character really wants to be a ballerina but her grandmother refuses to let her take lessons. It turns out that her mother was a ballerina who died while performing. In the end, the grandmother allows the girl to take lessons.

I read this really good book when I was in elementary school but I can't remember the title or author. It was about a boy and a girl who were twins. They found a magic ring one day and the girl placed it on her finger. When her mom woke her up the next morning, she mumbled that she wished she could sleep forever. Her wish came true and no one could wake her up. Then her brother had to travel back in time (to the Revolutionary War I think) to find another magic ring so he could undo her wish.
