I didn't know this was possible and she had been left with the buck for over a week.

I have a litter of flemish giant/ new zealand kits. they are about 9 days old, eyes not open yet. today when I came home, all but four were dead. I'm devastated, and they are my first litter I've ever gotten.

can anyone help me figure out what is happening to them? it was 93 degrees today, the rabbits are in a shelter that is partly shaded. they were in an old home made wooden hutch, but one fell out so I moved them into a Little Giant brand cage I purchased and moved them to the shelter they are in now. could the mother be nervous and neglecting her babies?

I put my filly back in the same paddock as her dam today. I was working with her a bit, and then turned her loose. A little later I went back and she was nursing on her ma. Has anyone ever seen this before? The filly has been weaned for a long time.

I mean over the stain that's on it? its one I bought years ago and I'm bored with it. but don't want to remove the stain. how would I go about painting it and what products would I need?

I bought an old farm house (built in 1952) that I am remodeling. I love it, but... the old lady that owned it either painted every thing pink, or wallpapered everything, and THEN painted over the wall paper. can you say ewwww? what can I do?

she's so tiny I really worry about her. when do puppies, especially chihuahua puppies quit growing? ps her parents were regular sized, about 6 lbs.

thought it might be a skin irritation but she only does it to her feet. and her skin looks fine. and she doesn't have fleas or worms. she will do it so long that she turns the pads red and she drools on the bed or couch and gets it soggy. any ideas?

I have a 4 month old, 3.5 lb female chihuahua pup. she has been with us for a bit over a month. she is very food aggressive towards my older female chi, and my 2 yo female boston terrier. she is also very aggressive in her play. she will not allow me to pick her up unless I chase her down, and then she is very lovey and snuggly. she has learned "sit" but not to come when called. she does walk ok on a leash, and is doing pretty well with house breaking. she is doing pretty well with fetching also.

and where can I get her a sweater to fit? petco petsmart and walmart do not have anything nearly small enough. I live in a snowy cold climate so she needs it for comfort. though she is not outside much.

I wonder is she progressing well or am I expecting too much? we haven't spent a huge amount of time on these things. I also wonder why she is food aggressive, as we leave food free choice for our dogs. can someone give me some hints and advice?

why do some dogs have upright ears and some have ears that are folded over?

my boston's breeder told me NOT to rub her ears until she was over 3 months old, and I didn't, and she has upright perfect ears. my chihuahua puppy had upright ears, but now at 3 months they are folding over.

I have an adult chihuahua, an adult boston terrier, and three cats. I just got a 12 week old chihuahua and she brought fleas into the house. what is the best product for each pet?

i can't think of anyting I like for her. I'd like some suggestions please.

my 9 year old chihuahua got killed by a coyote a while back. recently I got a female chihuahua two month old pup. she was the tiniest in her litter and she doesn't even move the hand on the scale. how much might she weigh?

some people near me have a little red qh colt that has a bad hernia. he needs surgery so bad, I almost want to get him so that I can help him. but I have no idea if he will be healthy afterwards? I will try to post a link so you guys can see. they can't afford to fix it, and will give him free to someone who can. opinions please? and yes, I can afford to care for him and keep him for life.

he is 20 years old and an extremely easy keeper. I have him in a dry lot. I changed his feed to straight grass hay twice a day, and half a quart of a type of grass pellets once a day at noon. He gets NO exercise right now. I want to start riding him, just around the place and stuff, to give him some exercise. He has no health problems. What would be an appropriate amount of time to start riding him, and how often?

also he is kinda spoiled and has attitude. when I show him a crop (don't hit him with it) he mellows out . Is it only from lack of exercise? he was formerly a 4h horse for little girls and before that he was a barrel racer. his previous owner raised him and had him til he was 17, when I got him. I hardly ever ride. is he bored? also he was gelded at 9 yrs old because he was used as a stud til then.

he's an apha and he is 15.2 and I'm not sure of his exact weight but he looks pregnant. he had a slight crest to his neck but that is almost gone. last year the vet said he was about 75 lbs over weight, and he is much much fatter now. he looks like a fat little shetland!

added note: he is on a regular schedule with vet, farrier, and worming.

my mare HATES water. if I even splash her feet when filling her trough she freaks out and runs away.

so how can I teach her to let me bathe her?

also, i want to build an arena to work horses in. what size are most arenas?

my mare is five. she does all the basic stuff, such as leading, loading, tying, good with farrier, and I've ridden her on trails. (she had 45 days as a 3 yr old with a trainer).

since then she had a foal and no more training. and I haven't ridden her much lately. She doesn't stand well for mounting or saddling, she is a bit pushy on the ground, she doesn't like to ride out alone, and she doesn't neck rein well. now that the filly is 9 months old i am ready to do more with my mare. there is a barrel racing club that just started up here, and I want to learn how. just for fun.

a little more info. I'm a somewhat inexperienced rider as I'm in my 40's and haven't ridden a lot since my teens.

she is a paint, almost 16 hands and 1200 lbs. is she too large for barrels? she is also very mellow. does that mean she won't do well with barrels?

oh, I did barrel race some as a teen.

I haven't done a lot of hard stuff with her, so she could grow and develope well. was that a bad idea?

my 8 1/2 month old filly is 13.2 hands tall... is that an appropriate height for her? her dam is a 5 yr old paint that is 15.3 and her sire is a 6 yr old qh that is 14.2.

also, she was buckskin colored before she started to shed out. now she is part buckskin colored but the longer hair on her back is grey. she does have a faint dorsal stripe.

dam is palomino and sire is a dun. do you think the filly will be a dun or what?

my friend was given a 3 yr old filly recently. she's half percheron and half tb, she's black and has two white feet and a white snip on her nose. she is big, probably around 15.2 or more? just guessing. she has really long mane and tail and seems to be in decent shape, not thin or anything. she leads, loads, trims. and he is going to break her to ride. I looked her over and she has nice feet and she is really mellow and calm. he said he'd sell her to me for 400 dollars after he works with her for 30 days. any opinions? ( he owes me a favor so thats why he said only 400) oh and she would just be for trail riding for my sister who is a big person.

my palomino mare has a really stained tail. I brushed it out really well but I've never washed it. how do I do it without using a hose, because she hates water. what product will get it as white as possible?
