  • Cannot boot to CD on several Dell Optiplexes ?

    I can boot into Windows just fine, but I am not able to boot to any CD. The CD/DVD-ROM's work fine while in Windows. I want to load a fresh copy of Windows XP onto these machines and then image those. At bootup, when I press F12 for one-time boot it just goes straight to a black screen. When I press F2 to change BIOS settings it says "entering setup" and goes black. This is happening on a few GX260's, GX270's and GX280's. I have already checked the caps on the mobos, and they all look fine. I pulled out the CMOS batteries and left them out overnight with no luck. Any ideas on what I might try next?
