I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. I moved to California about a year ago. In my life, I have experienced MANY issues, especially involving feminine troubles. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 15 years old, and I have had 3 surgeries to correct it since (to no avail). I have also been on just about every birth control known to man. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS as well. During all of these issues, I have seen many doctors and recieved tons of advice, which I am happy to pass along to anyone who needs help. Also I possess common sense, which seems to be almost non-existant nowadays. I am also VERY "wise beyond my years". My Mother went to prison when I was 9 and until I was 17. I have experienced more "tough stuff" than most that are twice my age. I am getting ready to start school to become a nurse this Spring. Please feel free to add me, or e-mail me with any questions @ addicted2sunkist@yahoo.com. Have a nice one!! B

  • Home cold sore remedies?

So, I'm newly engaged. I noticed a cold sore on my fiance's lip, and told him that I couldn't kiss him because of it. He got very hurt, denied it, and he's super sensitive (he gets all angry/sad over even tiny things), so, thinking I would probably be okay, I ignored it and kissed him anyways. Now, a couple of weeks later, I have my first ever cold sore. It is very tiny at the moment (praying it doesn't get bigger). I went to the store to get Abbreva, but at $22 for a little tiny tube, I can't afford it!! I've been out of work for 2 weeks for gallbladder surgery. Does anyone know a good, QUICK, at-home remedy? I've looked up some, but they're just so-so kind of answers. I will say that I popped it earlier, thinking that it was just a little zit on my lip. It may be just that, but it does have the tell-tale tingling and all. Since I popped it, I've applied Hydrogen Peroxide, Rubbing Alcohol (Menthol kind), Blistex Medicated (Mint) Chapstick, and ice. Any other suggestions? I really don't want this ugly thing at Thanksgiving!!! My family loves to take pictures =/ Thanks in advance!!

    Best Regards,

  • What is wrong with my wrist? (There's a large knot on top)?

I have a rather large knot on top my right wrist (I am right handed). You can only see it really well when I bend my wrist forward.. I did injure it almost 2 years ago, but when I had it checked out at the ER they said there was nothing wrong (xrays were performed). I have had some issues with severe pain and loss of mobility (I can't bend it back very far). It also makes crunching noises when I move it certain ways. My family doctor told me it was just a sprain about a year after the injury. I have been working in call centers and using computers constantly for about 3 years also. The knot just appeared about a month or so ago. I have another doctor appointment in 2 weeks, but I was wondering if anyone knows what it is and what I can do to help it till then?? I am only 22 years old. I have included links to some pictures of it....

  • Vaginal Bleeding for More than 2 months.. What is going on!?! HELP!?

Please can anyone give me some advice? I have been bleeding for over 2 months STRAIGHT. I bleed every single day. Sometimes it's really heavy and sometimes it does lighten a little, but it's pretty much steady. It has only almost stopped for 1 day this whole time. By late that night I was already bleeding again.

I am 22 years old and I do have Endometriosis and a history of ruptured ovarian cysts. I've had 3 surgeries to try and remove it, but it always comes back. I have been worse since my last surgery (which was back in Jan. of this year). The doc did 2 more things than the other surgeries.. He lasered some sort of nerve (to supposedly help the cramps--IT HASN'T!) and he also opened up both of my fallopian tubes (They were 100% blocked).

I am used to having weird periods and a lot of really bad cramps, but this is getting ridiculous!! There were a couple of instances where I even bled through tampons (while awake and sleeping). Needless to say, I have thrown away more clothes and sheets than I thought I ever would. This problem is scaring the hell out of me!!!

Yes, I did try to go to my GYN, but because my insurance didn't cover 1/2 of a bill from forever ago.. They refused to see me. Which in my opinion, is insane and wrong, but that's beside the point... (I am currently looking for a new doctor.) I am scared and tired all the time. I have also noticed that I am gaining some weight..

Does anyone (hopefully a medical professional) have any idea what could be causing this and what I can do to help get through till I can find a new doctor?? Any serious input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

P.S. I am not usually the kind of person that seeks medical advice online, but I am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place right now...

  • What kind of spider is this in SC? (pics)?

This is the spider that has made his home on my front porch. He's been there all summer and builds his web every night. I live in the foothills of SC. I have no clue what kind of spider he is, but he's huge. Here is the very close-up pic of him. I uploaded it on Photobucket.. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z100/SunKissedA... Anyone know what kind of spider he is?

Oh yeah, I named him Spiderman 2 lol.

  • Does this look like a Brown Recluse Spider bite to you?

My brother got bit by what we think is a Brown Recluse Spider while he was sleeping. He said that he didn't feel the bite. It was behind his ear. It went from being a little red place, to being a HUGE blackish, hole-ish, looking thing in LESS THAN 2 DAYS. There were even 2 distinguishable little holes (bite mark) before it got really bad. I took him to the hospital today, and the stupid ER doc barely looked at him. She decided that since we didn't OFFICIALLY see the spider, that he has an infection. She just sent him home with antibiotics and painkillers. Anyways... I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on what to do. Should he get a second opinion?

I uploaded the photo to PhotoBucket... You can see it here: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z100/SunKissedA...
