  • Alternative Biceps Exercises?

Dear weightlifters, request your advice on biceps training. Long story short: "regular" curls hurt my elbows, specifically the inside of the elbow joints. Barbell, dumbbell, preacher, etc.

Id like to hear both form suggestions that may reduce stress on the inner elbow during standard curl exercises, and alternative biceps exercise to build strength and mass. I'm currently avoiding curls and doing seated cable rows, pull ups, And other pulling motion exercises, but not getting the bicep burn I'm looking for.

After looking up exercises online, I'll soon try various hammer and overhand grips, as I think that might help.

I have long skinny arms (6'3" 180lbs), and for the last year or so I hit the weights about twice a week. I'm not a gym rat, but my strength is increasing, but in the arms my strength seems to be exceeding my elbow joint tolerance.

    Thanks for any tips!

  • Fantasy Football Flex Play?

Beanie or Beast mode as my flex today? Seems like everyone (except Espn) has Beanie ranked around #8, Lynch around #10.... I was leaning toward feeding the beast some skittles, but....now undecided.

Rice & McCoy will be my 1 and 2 RBs.

  • Fantasy Football Trade?

Should I trade FJax, Beanie and Bowe for CJ2K, Vick and Ocho?

I'm tempted, but...Ocho is obviously garbage filler, and giving up Bowe concerns me due to my already relatively weak WR corps...

But with my RB depth, I may be able to cash in on Vick or CJ in a trade for a top tier WR down the line...

I'd rather he pony up another better WR, he has Sidney Rice and DJax which would even this deal out on paper a little more...

I'm 4-0 in 1st place, so looking to set myself up for the future...

    My team:

    QB: Big Ben/Eli

    RB: Rice/McCoy/FJax/Beanie/Lynch (Start 3)

    WR: Wallace/Maclin/Bowe/Knox/Colston/Gaffney/Ward (Start 4!)

    TE: Finley

  • What RAM for my Laptop?

I am getting ready to upgrade the RAM on my HP nc6120, running on a Pentium M 760 2.0GHz 533 FSB. Regarding RAM, the manual isn't particularly clear, and some may say a bit misleading. Under Features, it says "256-MB DDR2 synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) at 400 and 533 MHz, expandable to 2.0 GB." Trouble is, this laptop is currently running on a stick of PC2700 DDR. Can't put DDR2 into a DDR slot, so I'm told.

In any case, to my question. I want to put 2 x 1GB sticks of PC3200 in instead of PC2700. Will this make it faster than running on 2 x 1GB of PC2700, given the CPU I am using? Will I need to adjust something in the BIOS, assuming it allows me to do so?

    Thanks!

  • Boat battery terminals - does it matter if you use the standard posts or smaller screw posts for starting?

My marine batteries come with two sizes of posts, standard and a smaller screw type. I had some a shop install a second battery, and they used the smaller posts. Ever since, I have had starting problems, but the batteries are good. Should I move the cables back to the larger posts?

  • Can I get a decent AMD upgrade for $200?

First, I'm not a gamer, I use MS Office, surf the net and have multiple users on my computer, and tend to have a lot of applications running at the same time.

    I have a:

AMD 939 3800+ 2.0GHz x2 running on a somewhat generic Machspeed board, 4GB PC3200 (32bit Windows 7) on a 640GB WD Black. This actually is running just fine right now, but... I've been looking at picking up a 4400+ Toldeo 2.2GHz with 1MB L2, but a used one still is near $100.

Instead of sinking another $100 into the dying 939, I figure if I can get into an AM2/AM3 CPU, MB and RAM for around $200-250 budget, I can sell off my 4GB PC 3200 and 3800+ for $125-150-ish according to ebay going rates...and in the end, I get a much better machine for that same $100. I'll re-use my Old GeForce6200 for now, not great, but usable for me for now.

Can I get into an AM2 or AM3 motherboard, Phenom quad core CPU, and 4GB DDR2/3 at the $200-250 price range? If so, what would you recommend? I've got some wiggle room in the budget, but much more than that and my incentive to upgrade goes away.

    Any comments greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • Internet problem - can't search?

My father-in-law's computer has an interesting problem. He has a good internet connection, can click on links and go to web pages he types in, but when he tries to use a search engine like google or Yahoo, it doesn't work - you get the IE standard internet connection problem page, but when you click on solve the problem, there is no problem with the connection. I've tried IE7, 8 and Firefox. I've removed IE 8 and firefox, re-installed, no change. I've run Symantec SEP and don't see an re-director malware on it. Ask.com searches fine, which really throws me for a loop. Yahoo and Google don't work from the web pages or toolbars. Any advice greatly appreciated.

  • Will a new graphics card make a noticeable difference for me?

I'm not a gamer, but I am considering upgrading my graphics card. I have an old NVIDIA GeForce 6200 that works fine. However, it only has 128MB on board memory, and I read somewhere that it may eat into my RAM pretty good. I'm on a budget, and looking at picking up something like an 8800 GT w/512MB on board. Will I notice a reduced load on my RAM? (upgrading from 2GB to 4GB, in the mail now). Will I notice a huge difference in watching hulu and other online video? I have a AMD 939 3800+ 2.0GHz Dual Core, and mostly use Office applications, watch some Youtube, have a couple of people logged in on Windows 7, burn some CD/DVDs, play a lot of music. Thanks.
