Next year I'll be heading off to university, but I am not sure what program I should do. The problem is that I don't really all what's out there. I would like to do some sort of cultural studies. Not a specific culture, but a general study of all cultures, similarities between cultures, how cultures differ, how people are influenced by their culture, etc, etc. I'd also be interested in studying abroad and learning a foreign language. Career wise, I think I would enjoy working in international development or with NGOs. I'm good at math/science subjects, but I find much more enjoyment in social studies.

What is the difference between Global Studies, International Studies, and International Development Studies? Any recommended schools for pursuing one of those degrees? And do you know what types of careers come from these degrees? Thank you!

I have chosen to write a critical analysis essay of To Kill a Mockingbird that is centred around the theme of courage. Any ideas for a thesis statement that sums up Harper Lee's opinion of courage displayed throughout the novel? Supporting details for the essay include the actions and attitudes of Atticus, Miss Maudie, and Mrs. Dubose. I was thinking along the lines of: "Harper Lee's novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, portrays the idea that courage can occupy many forms through the characters of Mrs. Dubose, Miss Maudie, and Atticus."

I'm looking into purchasing my first car. I am looking for a car that is going to be RELIABLE. I am torn between a 2006 Pontiac G5 and a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. I would simply like to know the pros and cons of both cars to help with my decision. Thank you!

Hey, I'm new to snowboarding and don't plan on spending a ton of time on the hill this winter. I found a good deal on a pre-owned brand new (never been used) Ltd Muse 154 snowboard. I am wondering what kind of quality I can expect from this board?

The deal also includes brand new Salomon bindings. What kind of quality can I expect from these bindings?

Additionally, I have no clue how the sizing system works. I am 5'6" and the board is 154 cm (I'm assuming cm but I really don't know). Would this be the proper length for me?

In a couple of weeks I'm going to visit New York City. I was just wondering how far it would to be to travel by car from Times Square area to basically the New Jersey border line (pretty much just to say i've been to New Jersey) ?
