  • I need help with a physics homework question.?

    George pushes a 90Kg box along the floor. He pushes at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizontal. The force of friction between the box and the floor is 180 N. The box moves across the floor at a constant speed of 3 m/s. What is George's force pushing the box? What is the normal force of the floor on the box?

    I have drawn a free body diagram and figure that the weight of the box is 882 N (w=mg). I'm having trouble finding the x and y component of Georges force. We are to use the formula Fnet=ma. And there is no acceleration because of the constant speed. Any physics folks out there that can help me out here?

  • I have a macbook question regarding emails...?

    i want to use my yahoo account when i click on an email address link on a webpage. the mailset up assistant comes up but i cant figure out what to type in each box. any suggestions? Is it even possible? I have mac OS X tiger.
