A friend of mine is in real financial difficulty. She's been out of a job since the summer and wrecked her car recently. I've given her money on occasion, but now she's asking me to deposit a check in the amount of $2000 from her 401(k) account and give her the money once the check clears. She tells me that the reason she needs me to do this is that her bank account is overdrawn and she doesn't want her bank to eat up the the money bring her account back to normal. She has other things she wants to spend the money on. What are the negative possibilities if I go along with this? Do you think this is a good idea? If not, are there other suggestions as to where and how she could get this check cashed that I could give her? My inclination is not to do this, but what do you think?

What medical expenses do you usually try to write off on your taxes? What system do you use to keep track of your medical expenses during the year? Is there any software that will keep track of your deductions (medical and otherwise) during the year that you think is worth the cost? Have you ever been audited by the IRS after deducting medical expenses?

Earlier this year, I was declared disabled by my employer and told that if I wanted to work from home as a "reasonable accommodation" due to my disability, I would have to purchase a computer and provide DSL internet access -- none of which I had before this period of time. Would any of the cost of computer or the internet connection be deductible on my 2008 taxes?

Have you been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and gotten pregnant? What were your Adenomyosis symptoms? Any clear watery discharge? How were you diagnosed?
