Hi everyone, one of the laptops my family owns had some problems with it (mostly that it was slow) and it needed to be restored, so we put it to be restored (we have recovery disks) and now it keeps getting stuck on 27% then after a while it goes back to 0%.

The computer is an Acer Aspire 4937G, it runs vista home premium 32 bit so i am using acer eRecovery to restore the laptop.

My dad sent my mums laptop to the shop after it started having problems and it turned out it was the hard drive which wasnt good so it was replaced. After we got it back we were happy to see it had Windows 7 ultimate on it (it used to have Vista Home Premium) so we started using it and also put an antivirus on it. Although today I saw that it needs activating and we dont have a code, and yes vista isnt on it anymore. I really dont want to tell my mum about this as she was really happy with 7 please can u guys answer fast.

I've got this problem where when i try to install any update which is connected to windows update i get this error 800736B2 which i think means "the binding data is invalid" Ive tried most of the common fixes but no luck, Ive contacted a guy from Microsoft and he is currently trying to work on it but its been a while now. Please can you help i need .net 4 for one of my games and yes i have .net 3.5.

this has been happening for a while and to get around this i put my laptop on hibernate. So my laptop is an acer aspire 4937 windows vista home premium and what happens is when i turn off my laptop it is ok and when i want to startup the laptop boots up ok (although rather slow) but when it get to the part with a black screen before the startup logo the laptop get stuck at the part where the mouse first appears but then it goes no further and i have to manually restart it until it finally works (normally after about 3-5 tries). Im sure it isnt a virus because i havnt downloaded anything dangerous.

hello everyone, my problem started when my acer aspire 4937 G laptop running vista home premium started randomly switching off at first i thought the power cut off so i turned it back not thinking it was serious but then when it kept switching off i bought a cooler but it still shut down but with a delay (about 10 mins) so then i got speed fan and had it running while playing pirate galaxy in windowed mode (i saw it in the taskbar) and the GPU was 90 + (Celsius) and even reaching 100 even with my cooler.

this only applies when i'm playing heavy graphics games when im not its around 63, i dont want to take m laptop apart or anything because of the danger of breaking it (and also id be in trouble as ive already made things stop working before). the country im in is quite hot so could that be the reason?

btw here are my graphics card specs: NVIDIA GeForce G 105M, and i have intel core duo.

ive got past the not registered problem (mentioned in last question) but now every time i try to play sc 2 its switches my laptop off even though its not how, ive tried running in xp mode and as admin also i have disable auto reboot.

plz help
