  • From Munich to Neuschwanstein with public transport?

I'll be going to Munich this summer, and want to visit Neuschwanstein castle. Since I will not have a car, I'm looking at how to do this with trains/buses. I know I can take the train from Munich to Fuessen, and then a bus to Hohenschwangau for the castle visit.

Can anyone tell me how long that trip would take (train + bus) and how much the bus ticket will cost?

  • CD with Love Song by Tori Amos?

I am getting pretty desperate! When I started going out with my boyfriend, he had all sorts of songs by Tori Amos that he'd downloaded on his computer. We particularly loved the cover she did of the song Love Song by the Cure. We're getting married next year, and want this as our "first dance" song, the Tori Amos version, so i want to have it on a CD. Try as I might, I can't seem to be able to find a CD with that song on it! I found some obscure info about a CD called "Covering 'Em" that has all sorts of covers Tori Amos did (including Love Song) but it's almost as if the CD doesn't exist, I can't find it anywhere, not even on eBay!! Does anyone have ideas where I could find this CD?

  • DVD region coding?

I know all about region coding and such, but I'm wondering, does that apply to computer DVD-roms as well? If I buy a DVD set from Germany (cannot get it region1, obviously) I know it won't play in my home DVD player, but will it play in my computer?

  • What's the difference between Vista Basic and Vista Premium?

I'm looking into buying a new laptop computer, and two models that I like from Dell have different versions of Windows Vista, and I don't know what the difference between them is. One is called Vista Home Basic, and the other is Vista Home Premium. Is one better or more stable than the other? Is it worth getting the premium, or will the basic do fine?

  • Firefox won't start?

I'm very confused. Earlier today, I had a message that there was a Java update available. I updated Java, and since then, Firefox won't open. I've uninstalled everything Java, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and still nothing happens. When I try to open Firefox, absolutely nothing happens, no error message. I would've double-clicked on an empty space on my desktop and it would have been the same. Any ideas?

  • London Travelcards vs. Oyster cards?

I'll be visiting London for a few days next week, and I'm a bit confused about the use of Travelcards or Oyster cards for Bus and Tube journeys. I seem to have understood how each works, but I'm not very clear on which would be the best for me? Are there major advantages to using one over the other? I've looked at the Zone maps, and figured, except for the airport journey, I'd be staying mostly inside zone 1, maybe a little of zone 2. Can somebody help me figure out which one I should opt for? Thanks!

  • Underground stations at Heathrow?

I can't seem to find accurate info on the official Underground website, or the Heathrow airport website, so thought maybe people living in London might help me.

I'll be flying in to London in June, arriving at Terminal 4 of Heathrow airport. Is the Underground station there operational? I thought it was closed for work on the new terminal, but was reopened last September. However, if I check the official websites looking for the easiest tube route to my hotel, the underground station at Terminal 4 is never an option. So, is it operational? Can I take the Picadilly Line directly from Terminal 4 or not?

    Thanks!

  • Playstation 2 games not released in the US?

My parents recently aquired a Playstation 2 console, and my mom saw an add for the game "Buzz! The Big Game", which is like a TV quiz show with questions to answer, etc. which she adores. I researched it on the net, and found it was only released in Europe. Are Playstation 2 games coded like DVDs, or would this game work in my mom's PS2 if we ordered it from the UK?

  • What is a good TV show for teenagers?

I teach English as a Second Language to 14-15-year-olds, and I was looking for an English TV show that I could present in class. I'm therefore looking for something that they would find interesting, or "cool", that can be liked by both boys and girls, watchable in a school environment, and can be watched on its own (not a complicated series). Preferably a show of one hour. Anyone can help me please? Thanks!

  • Graham in 24 in previous seasons???

I was discussing the character of Graham, from the new season of 24, and my boyfriend brought up a question I couldn't answer because I just don't remember. Except for last year (season 5) was Graham in the previous seasons? My boyfriend remembers, at the end of the first season, that we were shown a guy, bald with glasses, who was acting as a kind of mastermind of the whole thing and hadn't been caught. He thought it might have been Graham already back then. Does anyone know, or can check on the DVDs?

  • How do you say Merry Christmas in Russian?

I am writing my Christmas cards, and I'm sending one to a Russian friend. I've taken Russian classes before, but we didn't learn how to say Merry Christmas. Is "С новым рождество" correct? Could anyone help me out? And don't give me links to on-line translators. I'd like the answer from someone who actually knows. And in Cyrillic alphabet, too, please! Thanks!

  • Movies that would fit in with literature classes?

I need some help from you guys! I'm teaching Language Arts to juniors (16 years old) in high school, and I wanted to show them a movie that had a link with literature, poetry in particular. My first choice was Dead Poets' Society, but I've learned the senior year teacher uses it, and I don't want to step on any toes. So, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Recommend a good restaurant in Ottawa?

Could anyone who lives, or has been to, Ottawa recommend a good restaurant? Something that is affordable, around $50-60 for a couple. I'm planning a weekend in Ottawa, and would like to know if there are some particular good spots not to miss. Thanks!
