International Student - Getting a job in the U.S.A.?
I am about to graduate from a university after acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Game and Simulation Programming. I am currently on a F-1 Visa, therefore I do not have authorization to work in the US.
My question is, exactly what do I have to do in order to work in the US?
I understand that it is more difficult for an international student to land a job here especially when compounded with the downed economy, but that being said, what are the steps to get clearance to work here?
Thank you for your time,
Chaos
BTW, does having a Green Card allow you to work here without having to fill extra paperwork or applying for H1/H2 visas?

I have an external hard drive that has two connection types; USB 2.0 and esata. The reason I bought the external HDD is because of the esata, but unfortunately my computer doesn't detect it when I connect it, though it detects it when I use the USB connector.
The drive I have is a 1TB 32mb cache drive in a Cavalry case.
I've tried messing with the BIOS to no avail. The HDD is formatted so that it has 4 partitions, all of them NTFS.
I also cannot install any OS systems onto it, it gives me the error:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port.
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
I think that if I can get the esata connection working, it'll install the OS. My computer has an esata connector on the tower, and it supports sata 300 (3gb/s). The mother board is a M2N-SLI.
I did a lot of research on the internet about this, and one problem was that the esata cable could be too short, so I cut the ends of the insulation off but it didn't make a difference. They also said that for some reason, sata 300 wouldn't work, so I may have to make it sata 150 by setting the jumper on the hard disk, but I haven't tried that.
I have tried booting the computer with the external HDD plugged in, as well as hot-plugging it in while the computer is running, but it doesn't detect it (device manager, disk management, etc...).
Is that something else that I may not know about? Anyone else having this problem?
