Politely decline uneeded charity from neighbor?
My daughter, her boyfriend and their new baby live in a low income complex.
The neighbor across the street is a nice, single man who works at the food bank.
Bless his heart, he brings a bit of food stuffs and a few diapers almost every day.
The problem is that my daughter feels bad that they don't end up eating most of the things he brings and then it rots. She feels like someone who needs it more should have it.
She and her boyfriend have food stamps and both are going back to work next week.
The man seems a little sensitive. What is the best way to handle this situation?
Try to explain that they appreciate it but don't need it? (worried about the reaction)
Maybe just keep tossing the food? (to save his feelings?)
Ideas please....
1 AnswerCommunity Service7 years agoWhen opening a gift bag..?
that is stuffed with tissue, as usual, are you supposed to search all the way to the bottom to make sure you didn't miss anything. (and risk looking greedy) or pull out what looks like the main gift and wait for the person to tell you there is more in the bag?
My daughter and I were discussing this and have no idea but have done both. I am sure that other people share this worry. So I told her I would ask you all eventhough it will cost me points.
1 AnswerEtiquette8 years agoanyone know the name of this song?
I just heard it on the radio. The chorus was "Real Love" so I think that was what it was called. I used to know it when it was on the top 40 radio in probably the 90" ? A girl sings it and says "shorty got a car, shorty got a job, shorty can pay her own rent". Can anyone help me out? I tried looking it up but it is impossible without enough info. thank you...
1 AnswerRap and Hip-Hop8 years agois it rude to decline a wedding invite?
from a cousin's daughter (is that second cousin?) whom you haven't seen since they were little?
My mom and I haven't associated with that side of the familly for years. By the way, the wedding is an hour or two away from my home. I don't really know any of them any more.
