3 AnswersMovies8 years agoIs it good to have the same director JJ Abrams helm both the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises?
Given that JJ Abrams admission that he based his new Star Trek films on the Star Wars bravado whereas previously Star Trek was more cerebral what fans of each franchises thought. I for one love both Star Trek and Star Wars but always enjoyed the Shakespearean element that was displayed in the Star Trek movies of the 80.90s most notably Star Trek:The Wrath of Khan, and the Undiscovered Country.

3 AnswersMovies8 years agoEmpire Strikes Back use of the Force by Vader on Admiral Ozzel?
When Vader chokes Admiral Ozzel to death in Empire Strikes Back, you know the scene "You have failed me for the last time Admiral." He appears to be on another ship, maybe even on another side of the galaxy." If Vader can use the force in Ozzel from such a distance why didn't he just use the Force to stangle Han Solo and Luke in the original Trench Run on the Death Star?? and in countless other encounters in the original trilogy?

3 AnswersMovies8 years agoWhy is Shawshank Redemption always top of IMDB Top 250? Do you think its that Good?
Personally I think its a good movie but not worthy of top spot, after all there is excessive use of narration (albeit the great Morgan Freeman), but I always though the purpose of film was to show not tell you.
13 AnswersMovies8 years agoWho is a more courageous character Bilbo Baggins or Frodo?
Personally I think Bilbo as on his journey he was the only Hobbit, had no peers and Gandalf was his only believer
2 AnswersMovies8 years agoHow come there are so many lead actors in American dramas played by Brits & Aussies?
Knew that Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica), Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers, Homeland), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) were Brits but surprised to learn the Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead) was also a Brit, all these actors seem so flawless in their American accents it come as a surprise that they aren't American.
It seems there are lot of Brits and Aussies in American T.V, whats the reaction from any American's out there? and are their accents believable this is from a Kiwi in Australia.
3 AnswersDrama8 years agoDid anyone else like Eponine (Samantha Barks) more than Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) in Les Mis?
I thought Samantha Barks had more screen presence than Amanda, I've since learned that she was in the stage play for a while and on Britains got talent but I thought she was perfectly cast having that sort of gypsy looks about here but still stunningly beautiful wherea I though Amanfa Seyfried's Cosette was maybe a little miscast because there is no hint of her harsh foster child upbringing in the pub, she comes across as upper class rich girl, not saying she was bad just could maybe envision someone less vibrant in the role, having said that I'm not overly familar with the Les Miserables play or book... Thoughts anyone??
2 AnswersMovies8 years agoAdele confirmed to do James Bond theme song in Skyfall, what do you think?
I've always thought rolling in the deep was kind of Shirley Basset like and Adele would be perfect for a Bond film unlike some weird choices like the frontman for Soundgarden. I definetly prefer a female voice too, but must admit Duran Duran, A-ha and Paul McCartney have lent to some of the best songs...
1 AnswerMovies9 years agoWhich movies have the worst castings based on comicbooks?
Was thinking of this as I stumbled across this - David Hasslehoff once played Nick Fury (of the Avengers) in a tv movie. Other ones I can think of are Lois Lane as played by Kate Bosworth and Nic Cage as Ghost Rider
