I know a little about tech things from taking broken things apart and experimenting. Opened the DVD recorder (Panasonic combo vhs/dvd recorder 35s model a couple yrs old) and cleaned the laser eye, but when it taps the spindell to move it doesn't go. I gave the spindle a little push and it worked once, enough to run the DVD cleaner disc through, but then upon trying to start it again, the spindle would not turn. tried cleaning the spindle too, noi luck.

after this when I hit F1 the pc goes to a screen that asks what I want to open and it gives 2 choices, both the same name, but one not reachable. Both are Windows XP. the first loads windows the second gives an error message. How can I get rid of these probs. and go right to startup? Thank you.

The Quicktime program stays in the add remove list in the control panel (with no amount of diskspace showing) but cannot be removed with add remove the installer/remover starts and quits. I have deleted it from all of my program files in the C drive as well. Tried to reinstall over it but it says the "older version" of Quicktime cannot be removed. I believe I also got a message to the effect of the older version of quicktime is being used as a "network resource" but cannot replicate that message. Thanks for the help.

Trying to speed up my pc and trying to figure out which items under selective start up and serices tabs, after runnning msconfig are the ones which are necessary to run Windows XP ? Thank you.

If I am trying to raise funds for a charity and have a high priced item to raffle off, like a car or a Harley Davidson motorcycle, is it best to sell a lesser amount of higher priced tickets (say 500 at $100 each) or a greater amount of lesser priced tickets (say 1000 $50 tickets) ? Or is there a better alternative than either of these ? Thanks.

what format can I change it to so I can burn it to a CD-R and be able to play it on most pc's, I need to send this file out to quite a few people for viewing ?
