  • help finding bottles for essential oils?

I want to make some sprays using my essential oils. Oils will break down most plastics. I need a PET grade plastic or a lined aluminum bottle with a trigger spray. I need them to look nice as I plan on selling them. They need to have trigger spray tops that either come with them or I can buy separately. I don't want to have to buy thousands or pay a fortune in shipping. I have looked for days and can't find anything. Does anyone know where I can find what I am looking for?

  • looking for a book about a wolf pup?

I am looking for a book I read as a kid about a wolf pup. I don't remember much about the story line, just that it was about an orphan wolf. It had a black wolf pup with blue eyes on the cover and was at my school's book fair in the 80's. Does anyone have any idea which book I am talking about?

  • when to start puppy shots?

I just rescued 6 puppies that had been abandoned. I am guessing they are around 2 weeks old. Their teeth are just starting to come in and their eyes are still a cloudy blue color. They are doing well with lapping puppy replacer and seem pretty healthy but my question is...at what age do they need their first shots? I am really concerned about them getting sick because they wil no longer be receiving antibodies in their mother's milk.

Before anyone says"call the vet", they are all closed today and I can easily keep them isolated until Monday. I was just wondering what to plan for.

  • How to keep my dog from getting carsick?

I have a 6 month old mountain cur that throws up every single time we take him somewhere. We are training him to be a hunting dog so leaving him home is not an option. He is not anxious or scared, he loves to go. We have tried not feeding him before we go but he always finds something (usually cowpies) to eat and pukes on the way home. I have heard that giving him a spoonfull of vanilla ice cream will help and I plan on trying that but I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions?

  • desperately needing swedish weave pattern?

I have a monks cloth afghan I need to do for a wedding coming up soon. I found a pattern that the couple loves, but the website to order it is down and emails have gone unanswered. Does anyone know where I can purchase the "Dragonfly Dreams" pattern? If I have to buy a whole book to get it, that's ok. I am also interested in finding a pine cone pattern. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • prepasted wallpaper won't stick?

We bought a wallpaper border for our boys' room. It was the kind that already had adhesive on it. We had a very hard time getting it to stay on the wall but someone finally told us about something you paint on the wall to help it stay. It helped...a little. We finally got the border up all but one little peice that refused to stay. Now its all back down and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get it to stay. I will need to buy more because all we bought was ruined. I don't want to waste my money on something that will have to be replaced every 6 months or so. Any suggestions?

  • My female rouen duck is actually a male?

I have a rouen duck that I named Gracie. Gracie is about 6 months old. Gracie got her name when she lost all her down and grew her feathers. She looked just like a female rouen duck. Now Gracie is molting and it is becoming apparent that Gracie is actually a male. Does it normally take that long for the green head and male markings to show up? It is going to take a while for me to get used to calling my pet duck "he".

  • healthy snacks with no nuts?

There are kids in two of my children's classes this year that are very allergic to any nuts. One teacher told the parents last night that even the icing you buy in the store or at the bakery has peanut oil in it. I am not sure if we can bring home made for my sons' birthdays. I am going to ask about that. In the meantime, are there any healthy snack foods that they can bring for snack that do not contain nuts of any kind? It has to be something that is individually wrapped for easy distributing. I just dont want these two children to be left out when the others are eating snack. Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Favorite breed of dog (pictures)?

I am making window clings for a fund raiser for our local rescue. I have already made ones of the dogs and cats in our rescue, but I know lots of people are crazy about one specific breed. I want to have a variety for people to choose from. What is your favorite breed. Do you have a picture that would make a nice window cling (face shots are best) Anyone willing to let me make one of their personal pet, (mutts welcome) please post pictures. Thank you.

Here are some that I have already done if you want to see what they are. http://s86.photobucket.com/albums/k92/ajneal30/win...

  • What am I doing wrong?

My two baby ducks just died tonight. As a teenager, I tried raising ducks for the fair. Most of them died the same way these two did. They get weak and then start shaking their head back and forth and if you touch them at all, they throw their head back and have what appears to be a seizure. I have done some research and have come up with a few different ideas of what may be happening. One is a vitamin deficency caused from the mother not getting the right vatamins. The other is duck hepatitus. The vitamin deficiency can be taken care of if you catch it in time. The hepatitus is contagious, but how would my ducks have gotten it? I have had them for several weeks. My kids cuddle these ducklings each morning as they watch cartoons, they will do devastated when they wake up and their ducks are dead. I know they will want to go get more in a few days but I am not willing to do that if they are just going to die. I need to know what I am doing wrong and if I can sucessfully raise ducks.

  • What breeds of dog are in this puppy?

I know I am going to get the typical "It's a mutt" responses. I know this dog is a mutt. He is a 9 week old puppy that I am fostering for a rescue group and we are all stumped as to his heritage. People adopting usually want to have some sort of an idea what kind of dog they are getting. Anyone have any ideas on what breeds might be in this dog? He is the size of an adult chuihuahua.

  • Pug with pnemonia?

I wanted to update everyone who answered me a few days ago with this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20080305190... She is doing wonderfully now that her meds are kicking in. I did manage to get that first pill down her and now she takes them willingly. She now wanders the house and goes out to potty. She is gaining strength daily. Now so I don't violate the rules, I do have a question. She stumbles and tips her head the side. She seems dizzy. I am not very concerned yet but what do you think would cause it? Could it be her meds? Fluid in her ears? I don't think it is anything neuroligical, and if it doesnt go away soon, I will call the vet. Thanks for all the help.

  • help with dog meds?

My pug ran away two nights ago and I searched the neighborhood, put up flyers, knocked on doors, and put an ad in the paper all to no avail. Finally this morning someone called to say they had found her but she was hurt. I rushed over to get her and she had been bitten by some animal and was very sick. I got her into the vet and she has pnemonia. The wounds were not bad but I have to give her three antibiotic shots a day, two antibiotic pills and a pain pill. Now here's the problem. She is refusing to eat, understandable I know. I can't get her mouth open to force feed her the pills so I crushed them in her water because she is drinking plenty. Is there a better way to make sure she gets them all? Thanks in advance for any help.

  • pet insurance?

I have a pup wiht cherry eye and the surgury could cost up to 1400. Is there any pet insurance companies that would cover it as a preexisting condition?

  • I have a dilemma?

I bought a Boston terrier puppy that had an injury to its eye. Well, I found out that she has cherry eye. She requires surgury that could run as high as $1,400.00. I do not want to return the puppy as I have become very attached to her. The pup had this condition when I got her but they told me she was scratched by her littermate and it would heal on its own. Do the breeders have any legal responsibility to pay for all or part of the surgury? Should I ask them to help pay for it? I think if I were to pursue it legally it would be more to return the puppy and get my money back, but I was just wondering what I can do without returning the dog. Thanks for any help.

  • cherry eye?

I bought a Boston terrier pup on Friday, when she was delivered the breeders told me her brother had hurt her eye but they thought it would heal up. I had seen cherry eye before and that is what it looks like she has. Can cherry eye be caused by an injury? What can I do to make her more comfortable untill my vet opens on Tues? Thank you for any information and help.
