Do you think aliens have abducted all the conspiracy believers and imprisoned them in the Bermuda triangle?

The person who is second on the leaderboard (Richard) has 303,646 points. He has:

answered 6,572 questions = 13,144 points

best answer 3,556 questions = 35,560 points

That's a total of 49,000 points approximately. Where did he get the other 254,000 points?

Is there something I'm missing here?

When I'm asked to simplify something, I'm not sure which is considered to be simpler:

(x+1)(x+2)

or

x² + 3x + 2

I can see applications where each way of writing is useful, and they both seem simple. Which is simpler?

Should we do people's homework for them? Or should we try and explain to them how to do the homework and let them do the actual work?

I've reported at least 10 questions and answers to the moderators in the last few weeks, but I've never seen any of them being removed. The sort of thing I'll report for is foul and offensive language, racism and so on. But the questions don't seem to be hidden until a moderator looks at them in the way I would expect.

What do you think on this?
