  • Can a growth stock also be a value stock?

I'm basically a technical/momentum trader and ignore most everything else, but I've started doing some research on other ways to evaluate stocks for trading. Do you have simple ways to identify each (PE ratio, PEG, earnings growth, etc.)

  • Am I calculating interest rate/return on investment correctly?

I'm working on the finer points of my trading plan and I need some help with my logic. Please check my logic/calc on the below....

I purchased a stock for $50.35 and sold it 76 calendar days later for $55.98 - an increase of 11.18%.

If I'm trying to compare that to quoted interest rates of other investments, does that then translate into:

    1) .15% daily (11.18 divided by 76) and thus

    2) 53.69% annually (.15 times 365)

    3) this investment was roughly 10 times better than what I would have received in interest on a bank account or CD.

Thanks so much for your help. I hope my question makes sense.

  • What if? Trading without the internet...?

What if there is actually a cyber-attack and we are unable to use one, more, or all of our online trading components for an undetermined amount of time? There are soooo many points of failure involved, you know - it's kinda scary when you're relying on this profession for your sole income. How would you continue to trade technology-free (assume you have your phone only)? Arre there paper subscription versions of stock charts available? I've found stock chart books on chartsmart.com. Does anyone know of others? I'm a technical trader, so don't really care about annual reports of companies and fundamental data.

  • Any technical traders that use fundamentals, too?

I know this may require a long answer, so thanks in advance. I am a technical trader and I'm looking for an edge to help choose stocks, so I thought I might add a few fundamentals or other criteria to my selection process (e.g. P/E ratio as it compares to the industry, etc.) Does anyone have experience doing this? What indicators do you use and why? Are there any good websites that I can use as a resource for this type of investing? Thank you for your answers!

  • Have you had sucess using Marinol for migraines?

I have tried everything and they are the persnickety mentrual migraine type which are so hard to treat. I am considering asking my MD for a scrip for Marinol, but wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this helping migraines but especially menstrual migraines. Do you find that it is hard to tolerate? I've heard that if you were a casual user before that you will be fine, but that if you never used before it can really wig you out.
