My six year old boy has temper tantrums?
He is so hard on himself. When he doesn't understand something right away he gets so frustrated. The thing is, he is very smart but really lacks patience. What can I do to help him?
4 AnswersParenting8 years agoI am a supervisor at my office.?
Lately we have been having a big problem with disgusting messes left in the washroom. People not wiping the toilet seat if something gets on it, toilets not getting flushed etc. How do we handle this. We don't have a way of knowing who is doing it or at least can't think of a way. Any suggestions? This is only in the ladies washroon by the way.
4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoI can't tell for sure if the flooring in my living/dining room is hard wood or laminate.?
It was here when we bought the house. It is pretty beat up in some spots. Is there a way to know for sure?

8 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoMy son will be 3 years old next month and is not potty trained.?
He is not even remotely interested. I tell him that he won't be able to attend playschool if he is not potty trained, as an incentive because he wants to go to playschool. We put him in underwear at home sometimes. When I try to take him to the bathroom he refuses. He used to like sitting on the potty but then decided he preferred the toilet better. Now he won't sit on either of them. Most of the time he wakes up in the morning and he is dry. Any suggestions?
7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoI've been asked to say a few words at my step-father's funeral tomorrow and I am so stuck!?
I'm usually a great writer but everything I put down sounds stupid. Can anyone give me some advice? How do I begin? What kind of things should I include? His son (who he was very close to) is doing the eulogy.
2 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoMy husband and I are having a BBQ tomorrow. But first I am having a little gathering just for the ladies.?
We decided to have just friends and my sister who is close to my age and also I consider her one of my friends. Other than that no other family was invited. My Mom found out and is wondering why she wasn't invited. One of the reasons I didn't invite her is because she complains about her husband to my friends and it's embarrassing. Is it so wrong of me and my husband to just want a party with friends? Every other time we have company it's always about the family. She's coming over today. What do I say?
6 AnswersFamily1 decade agoI am having a bunch of people over on Saturday for a BBQ and we were supposed to have a fire in the backyard.?
But our town just out out a fire ban since the weather is so dry here. What else can we do instead to keep people happy and entertained? I know a lot of people were looking forward to the fire pit. It will be mostly adults. Not too worried about the kids-we have lots for them to do.
1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoMy 19 yr old niece has just bought a bus ticket to go visit a boy she met on the internet.?
The destination is about 8 hrs from her home. She's never met this supposed 18 yr old guy except on the internet. Her mother (my sister) supposedly told her she is OK with this so long as she is safe (my sister has never been known for her great decisions either). My niece lives on her own, works and pays her own rent. We are all aware she is legally allowed to make her own decisions, but my Dad, my other sister and I are all fearful for her! We thinks this is ridiculous-you never know what could happen. She'll be going to a town where she knows no one and she's never been to! What can we say to her to make her see how potentially dangerous this could be?
9 AnswersFamily1 decade agoI work out with weights (arms only) and do cardio as well.?
I haven't seen my weight go down but my pants size is down one size (well maybe more like half a size). I've seen my arms improve but when is the fat going to really start coming off? I eat pretty healthy too.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhat is the best exercise to get rid of belly fat?
I had 2 c-sections in 2 1/2 years and am in the process of losing weight.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoSeveral months ago I noticed that a co worker seemed very interested in me.?
He became very flirtatious, which I didn't mind but I didn't really think anything of it because I am married. We began to work together more often and I got to know him a bit more and now I have developed feelings for him. I've been told that he is flirtatious with everyone (by a girl who has a crush on him so she may be jealous), so I watched to see how he interacts with others to see if that is true. I'm not convinced that it is true because he pays an awful lot of attention to me. I don't go looking for it. He constantly teases me, jokes with me and always has a comment about whatever I say. A couple people at work have even commented to me about this. This whole thing of course is a problem because I am married and am feeling tremendously guilty about my feelings and also I am very confused because I don't really know his true feelings about me. I keep wondering. It is driving me crazy and I am beginning to feel depressed about the whole situation. I feel like a need to know one way or the other then I can just move on and get over it. I really don't know what to do! I can't quit my job because I make good money and have no chance of making that money somewhere else. I thought if the subject ever did come up with him and I found out I was wrong I would look and feel very foolish and embarrassed. How do I handle this? I already know I am a horrible person for all this because I am married.
11 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoMy 4 1/2 year old daughter hates going to the bathroom. If I tell her to go pee she puts up a big stink.?
Usually if I give her a 5 minutes warning and say OK, in 5 minutes I want you to try to go pee" it usually works out great. Why is it such a big deal for her? I've asked her if it hurts and she says no. My house is clean, toilets aren't dirty. Sometimes she makes me go with her just to stand around in the bathroom. I'm not sure what to do or why this is happening.
1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoMy 4 1/2 yr old daughter wakes up in middle of the night every night and ends up in our bed.?
Sometimes I don't even wake up anymore. No one is getting enough sleep and I am crowded and sore when I wake up. She seems to be having bad dreams but she won't tell me what they were. Maybe she doesn't remember? She absolutely refuses to go back to her own bed. Sometimes I will go back to her room with her and end up falling asleep in her bed-not a good/comfortable situation either. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoI've been on the treadmill almost every day for a month now, I am careful about what I eat-?
when am I going to start losing some serious weight? I drink at least 2 cups of green tea per day, lots of water and I am up to 35 minutes on the treadmill (and increasing by 5 minutes per week). I am getting really discouraged. I have noticed a small difference in my uppper thighs but have lost only about 5 lbs.
8 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoA man at work has been flirting with me a lot for several months. says nice things to me,?
waits for me at the end of the day and I see him watching me sometimes (not in a creepy way). Last night after work he told me he asked out another girl from work and they went to a movie. My heart sunk, but I just pretended it didn't bother me. I held myself together and finished the conversation and said goodnight. He told me he wasn't sure if she really liked him or not because she seemed to be avoiding him at work last night. I told him maybe she is just shy and to see what happens tomorrow. He plans to ask her out for dinner this weekend. Why did he tell me this? If he flirts so badly with me everyday why on earth would he tell me this? How am I supposed to feel? He and I and some other people from work are supposed to be going out for coffee after work tonight (the other girl won't be there). Should I go or just cancel and go home? If I go how do I behave?
