  • Kate Beckett from Catle?

So I have been always curious about this. What kind of a detective is Kate Beckett? Because she seems to be in charge and orders around Espo and Ryan who are also detectives. Does that make her some kind of a higher grade detective or what? I've searched everywhere and haven't been able to find the answer so far. I'd really appreciate the help.

PS: Can't wait for the season 6 premiere of Castle.

  • Theme song for a hero?

Do you guys know any songs that could work as a superhero's theme. I'm looking for something instrumental, no lyrics, even orchestral. It needs to sound like it refers to a hero and his battle to protect people and save them against evil forces. Something that screams action. Something like "Dragon Rider" by Two Steps From Hell or something similar. Oh and it's got to be something original, not Superman's or Spiderman's theme. Can you help?

  • What's the name of that kick?

What's the name of that kick when an opponent charges at you and you dodge his attack and at the same time apply a spinning hook kick to the back of his head as if you're pushing him further away. If I did not make myself clear, Van Damme does it to a thug in Hard Target. It's his first fight in the movie, when he rescues Natsha from those guys. At one point this guy comes with a knife at him and Van Damme uses the same move I described and launches him into the restaurant window. I know the move itself is called a spinning hook kick but I'm curious if there's a specific name. Many thanks!

  • Do readers on fan fiction hate stories with long chapters?

This happened to every story I wrote on fan fiction. Every time I start a story on fan fiction.com, I get a lot of reviews for the first chapter. Then, when I go into the next chapters, which are kind of longer, butterflies fly out of the review section. Don't want to sound vain but it's not like my story suckes or anything. On the contrary. I've seen stories with only 8 chapters but with 100+ reviews. And the chapters were like 2 pages long. How do these guys do it? Are they in some kind of communities? Do they have friends and together they keep tabs on their stories? I don't get it. Hell, I've even seen stories that had no potential whatsoever yet managed to get 300 reviews. How?

The thing is I could try to write a 2 page chapter but if it's not relevant enough, I could not leave it like that. I don't want to write a chapter in which I describe how the character wakes up in the morning, brushes his teeth, eats breakfast and gets an important phone call. I need to have relevant dialogue, metaphors and symbols, character development and so on and so forth. And if I have to extend the chapter to a few extra pages then so be it. I just don't understand why it seems like people lose interest after the first chapter of my story.

I hope I made my point and that I'm not being immature or impatient. If I am than I apologize if I have offended anyone.
