  • Potty training my 19 month old?

Please guide me step by step on how to potty train my 19 month old boy. I have tried everything from showing him potty training videos to vuying him undies to praising him and giving him reward stickers but he is giving me a tough time he tells me after he has done pee and for poop he will ran away from me when I just want to clean him up and change his nappy I put him undies for two days but all I did was cleaning his number 1s n 2s from the carpet n washing his undies I put him on toilet seat after every fifteen minutes but he would hold his pee and poop for ten minutes or so n then cry out loud so badly that I took him off his seat n put him in undies n he will immediately pee in it I am soo frustrated I give him toys on the toilet seat show him cartoons from my mobile but he doesn't seem interested in it it's just couple of times he has done pee and once poop in the toilet otherwise the same game continues everyday :(

  • How to quit nursing in 6 months time?

My son is 16 months and is nursing three times in 24 hours. sometimes he feeds more than three times when he wants to relief teething pain or he is ill. How should i start towards quitting nursing slowly so that when my son turns 2 years he quits feeding on my milk himself.... He becomes fussy during the night when he wakes up the only thing that can calm him is my milk ....the only thing in the afternoon and at night that puts him to sleep is feeding on my milk yes sometimes he does sleep on his own and sometimes when my husband pat his back but only when his tummy is full with my milk. I started giving him a little whole milk in the evening a week ago... he sometimes takes it sometimes he doesnt.. How much whole milk should i start giving him or should i not give him any other milk just now... I want to continue nursing him for whole two years but want to take some steps beforehand which can help him quit my milk when the time comes that is in two years time.... can anyone help me.

my second query is that my son is very thin. he is active but he is not a chubby boy. I give hime cereals with whole milk and banana in breakfast .... rice, pulses and vegetable mix with butter poured on top in the afternoon sometimes boiled beans sometimes potatoes with chicken , yogurts after meals..same menu in dinner...i still blend his food because he doesnt take chunks... he is eating well is it normal for him to be skinny when he is eating well

  • How does breastfeeding work after 1 year?

My boy is 15 months I am breastfeeding him I give whole milk with cereal in breakfast otherwise the only milk he takes is mine. When any guests arrive he forgets everything his drink, sleep all he wants to do is play. Guests are coming for One week I am worried he will not drink my milk n won't have his afternoon nap either as he does the same when the guests came for four days in those 4 days I used to feed him only at night when he was asleep. Will my milk supply be affected if he only takes my milk at night in those seven days when the guests will be here ? And will his milk need be fulfilled with only one drink ?

  • breastfeeding and weight! Am I doing right with my son?

My son is 17 weeks. he is exclusively breastfed. his birth weight is 3.982 kg and at 17 weeks he is 5.66 kg. His weight is increasing at a very slow pace with the average of 50 grams per week. the health advisor says he might not be getting hind milk. I empty one breast before offering the other. he does 2 yellow poo in a day with occasionally a green mucusy poo. He has 5 to 6 wet nappies. he is a happy boy. he does some physical activities for half an hour roll over, playing in play gym etc and hen he gets tired and wants to sleep.. i feed him every 40 minutes and he goes to sleep. he sleeps for half an hour wakes up for feed goes back to sleep wakes up after 10 minutes plays for half n hour wants to sleep again. is it normal for him to wanting to sleep that much? and the fact that he is not gaining much weight.. he seems active when he is awake. am i doing wrong just to breast feed his when i know he is not gaining at a fast pace? everyone wants me to start formula but i m opposing it.
