How to play The Sims 3 without changing video settings?
Ok, so I'm trying to play The Sims 3 - High End Loft Stuff on my machine and I've run into a snag. Dual monitor system using dual video cards. a geForce 6100 on-board and a geforce 8400 secondary card, set as primary display. My global settings via the nvidia control panel have antialiasing set to override application settings and lock it at x2 and this has helped many, many, many other applications run more smoothly, but unfortunately the game doesn't like that setting. Tells me I have to switching the setting over to Application Controlled.
I've tried customizing the settings but no matter what exe I pick to change the program-specific settings, it still barfs the error back at me. Now, I don't want to play any game bad enough to constantly have to dig into my control panel and keep changing settings for compatibility sake so what I need to know is, how do I bypass that check to launch the game, without changing my global config?
Intelligent answers only please...(not that anyone will listen...)

Specifically where it relates to the American hated of 'terrorists'?
Keep in mind folks, the American Colonists were terrorists as well by the "rules of war" at the time.
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhat makes people think they deserve the right to vote?
You hear people whine a lot about how their freedoms are being impinged upon by whatever new movement happens the be the big hot-button of the moment...yet they seem to fail to take into account the very simple fact that people are far too stupid to govern themselves. I mean just take a look at the sort of crap they play on television. They wouldn't broadcast it if people didn't watch it (They need to make money ya know.) and yet it's quite obvious that every year the collective IQ of this country drops further and further into the toilet.
Guess what folks: Not everyone deserves the right to vote. Not everyone deserves the right to have -any- control over this, or any other country. 'Freedom' is exactly what is tearing American society apart because the dumbest members of any crowd are almost always the loudest...and it's the loudest people that get the most attention.
We have the NRA and those morons somehow under the impression that they deserve the right to carry armor piercing bullets in an extended banana-clip fed AK-47, because they have some delusion that if it comes to war with our own government, that somehow we can overpower their cruise missiles, nuclear weapons and napalm with small automatic weapons, we've got people trying to give retards the right to vote, people actually complaining that Obama is trying to spread out health-care to everyone, not just the wealthy few...
...I mean hell, this is the country that went insane over Clinton's puffing on a joint...but seemed to just flat ignore the Texas failure and his former cocaine addiction. A country that continuously lowers the educational standards to the point where Korean kindergartners can out-score an American Jr. High school student...a country that idolizes pop-stars and actually listens to what they have to say about pollitics.
We're a bunch of morons.
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat is the justification behind supporting homosexuality? (Warning, LONG.)?
I've been wondering, maybe you intelligent people can help me out. I've been wondering what the justification is behind supporting the deviant sexual behavior engaged in by homosexuals? Now before I get started let me make sure you understand, I'm not saying they should be hated for what they feel. People should be allowed to do anything they chose to do, IN PRIVATE. What I'm wondering though, is where people get the feeling that those people need to be supported.
See, the way I figure it, racial minorities made no choice. They didn't chose the color of their skin, they didn't chose the slant of their eyes or size of their nose or whatever, but homosexuals -chose- to engage in this sort of activity knowing full well that they are inviting discrimination into their lives.
The most common arguments I hear are fairly cliche`, "We can't help how we feel, we were born this way" or "You find homosexuality in nature too." Now, the first argument loses a lot of weight almost immediately. We all have desires that we don't follow through on because of the consequences we would bring down. Most of us don't shoot annoying neighbors for turning their radio up too loud. We don't run around naked like a bunch of gorillas because it's socially unacceptable. 18-21 yr olds...ever met that super-hot 15 yr old who acts and looks like she's 19 that you didn't go home with because you knew it was wrong? There's hundreds of examples of times when we control our urges because they're not socially acceptable. As a matter of fact, pedophiles use the exact same excuse "We can't help it." should we start allowing grown men to have sex with 9yr olds just because they can't control how they feel?
As for the "You see examples of homosexuality in nature too!" argument...lets list some other things we see in nature: rape, incest, beastiality (Used loosely to describe one species trying to mate with another species), pedophilia...all of these things also turn up in nature with surprising frequency...yet none of those activities are considered acceptable, why should we accept homosexuals?
Again, I don't hate homosexuals...except for specific individuals who I hate for reasons not related to sexuality. However, I -am- sick and tired of being told I can't say this or can't say that, having to listen to the homosexual "community" whine about how they are so discriminated against. As far as I'm concerned, it's really no different than Mr. Body Piercings whining that he can't get a job because his face looks like a tackle box exploded in it...
So please, if you can, give me a good, concrete reason why I should accept homosexuals...
