Possible appendicitis? Or am I overreacting?
This morning I woke up to a terrible stomach ache right under my belly button and a little to the right. It hurt to move, it hurt to breathe in deep, it hurt to laugh and cough, and it hurt when I applied pressure. I was doing a little research and all of my symptoms pointed to appendicitis. So I got out of bed and went to the bathroom (yes #2) and it slowly went after that. I was able to do my workout, go for a run, and go to work without a problem. A couple hours ago, I started having slight cramping in my right lower abdomen again, nothing as nearly as bad as it was earlier. It comes and goes ever like half hour to hour and lasts for like a minute. Could this be appendicitis? I'm a fairly healthy 20 year old female.
Pain & Pain Management5 years agoWhat to put under my pool?
Well we have an Intex pool that we set up every year. Our backyard isn't level so we had to dig a pit to make a level area for our pool. It worked, our pool is level, but now the problem is that we're left with a big muddy pit in the cooler months when the pool isn't up, and the dogs love to run around through it. Any suggestions of what to put over the dirt so it's not as messy?
12 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)5 years agoWildlife rehabilitation degrees?
I want to transfer to a higher education after I earn my associates from my community college. I'm interested in wildlife rehabilitation. I've been doing my research, and there is no degree in wildlife rehabilitation, its only a certificate, and I want a higher degree than just an associates. Could I study biology and specialize in wildlife rehabilitation?
2 AnswersConservation5 years agoSquirrel won't stop squeaking? Help!?
About a half hour, I heard this squeaking coming from my backyard, so I went to investigate, and I found a squirrel. Thinking nothing of it, because I've heard the noise before, I went back inside. But 20 minutes later, I still heard it. So I let my dogs out to see if they could chase it away, and nothing happened. I know squirrels do that if they feel threatened, so I looked for signs of danger for the squirrel, such as a cat or other dog, and I saw nothing. I tried shaking the branch and throwing sticks to scare him and nothing happened. It's too big to be baby squirrel. Does anybody know what I should do? He hasn't moved, in a while, so I wonder if he's stuck? Probably not, because he's a squirrel. Does anyone have any suggestions?
1 AnswerOther - Pets6 years agoMy phone is acting weird? Help!?
I have a Galaxy S4 that I've had for about a year and a half now. The problem stared about two weeks ago, my phone would die at 15%. It got bad fast. Now, my phone will randomly die at anything less than 100%. It won't necessarily die, it will just shut off, and when I turn it on, it won't stay on. It died at 90% today. Sometimes it will die at like 80%, and I'll turn it on a few minutes later and it will be at 5%. But what else is really weird is that when I unplug it from the charger, it will go up like 10% after I unplug it. It charges extremely fast. I ordered a new battery on Amazon, hoping that will solve the problem, but it won't come until Thursday. Any idea on what's happening?
3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans6 years agoHelp! My dog caught a bird?
Please help! I live in northern Illinois, and my
dog caught a robin. I can't tell the age, he/she
looks kind of small, but he/she is still alive,
definitely injured. I can't tell how, there is no
blood, but he seems to be favoring a leg and
doesn't seem to be able to fly. He is breathing
very hard and fast, and he is breathing through
his beak, which may or may not be normal, I
don't know that much about birds. He isn't
shaking or anything. He mostly has his eyes
closed but opens them every once in a while. I
called my local wildlife rehab center and they
said they can't take him/her because of the
avian influenza, which is a huge problem right
now. They didn't give me too much info on
caring for him. What do I do with him and how
can I help him? Please help!
2 AnswersBirds6 years agoEasiest way to go from point A to point B?
This summer, my family and I are taking a trip to Colorado. We're staying at Three Rivers Resort and Outfitters in the tiny town of Almont, and we're super excited! Now we want to go up and visit Aspen, but every single map and mileage calculator I use gives us this exact map, taking us on a 3 hour trip that could be an hour! Are there any natives to this town who know of any sequence of roads or roads that can take us here? I don't care if it's a dirt road or a highway, just nothing too treacherous, because our van can't handle what is used to. Any tips are greately appreciated! Thanks!
2 AnswersDenver6 years agoMy grandma is dying of cancer?
Last august, my grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. At first when she started her chemo she felt completely awful, and since she knows that the end would come anyways, she stopped. She gained more strength and was happier and you weren't even able to tell that she has cancer. But these past few weeks have been hard. She started feeling pain, and then she fell in her living room. Her hospice nurse was there to help her up, and she examined her and nothing was broken, but she's sore. She's on morphine, she's weak, and she can barely get anything down or stay awake. We all know the end is coming. My parents are taking her to the hospital. Of course I feel awful, its like someone ripped my heart and threw it away. But I can't find it in me to be sad. I've visited her and talked to her. I don't know if it's because we weren't that close or because the reality of it didn't hit me yet, but I feel awful that I don't feel awful. Is there anything to explain this? I felt the same way when my grandpa (not her husband) passed three years ago.
4 AnswersCancer6 years agoMy puppy won't stop digging?
Well at first it was cute. In the summer, we have an intex pool that we set up in the middle of our yard. In the fall, it comes down, revealing a big pit of dirt and a gold mine for the puppy who likes to dig. Like I said, at first it was cute. But after about 10 holes that are at least 4 inches deep each and countless twisted ankles, it has to stop. That's not the worst part. They have been putting in huge 6 foot wide pipes down the street and in between mine and my neighbors house. The point is, they has to dig 10 foot deep holes. After they covered the holes, we were left with another dirt pit. Today, the sodded the dirt, and it looks awesome. But she has pulled back three of them. And to make matters worse, they recently watered it, so she was all muddy and she got mud all over our floors. How can I stop or at least control the digging? She's a 4 month old German shepherd husky. Thanks!

2 AnswersWomen's Health7 years agoBest shampoo types?
Hey guys! Well I'm experimenting with different shampoos, and I'm trying to find the best for my hair! There's a bunch of different types that my hair is, so I'm just looking for some opinions. My hair is naturally light blonde, and it goes really sloe, but I'm trying to grow it out. Its medium length, and kind of frizzy depending on the weather. It gets greasy very easily and looks messy easily. Its also very flat, which I don't like. Any opinions? Thanks!

Well I'm pretty sure I'm constipated at the moment, and it sucks. Yesterday, I was fine, but last night I couldn't poop. I really have to, it just won't come out. All day yesterday, I had a muffin, a banana, oatmeal, rice crispy treats, homemade baked French fries, and bologna sandwich. At night is when it got bad. I tried to poop, but it didn't happen. So I went to bed, and woke up every couple hours to my stomach growling and pain, and I tried to poop, but nothing happened. What caused my constipation, and how can I get rid of it fast? Please help.

I have fans in the living room and kitchen, but we can't keep the windows open because its too cold outside and we have the heat on. Any suggestions in how to get rid of the smell?
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden7 years agoShoulder and upper arm pain? Help?!?
Well earlier today, my upper arm and around my shoulder started hurting. Like it feels like I hurt it, but I haven't done anything all day that I could have hurt it. It doesn't hurt when I push on it. And its not a terrible pain, but an achey pain. It doesn't hurt a lot and it doesn't hurt all the time. Sometimes when I move it certajn ways it hurts. What could this be? I'm a female who doesn't work out regularly.
2 AnswersPain & Pain Management7 years agoMy dogs won't eat their food?
Well two weeks ago tomorrow, I got a puppy. She's a 10 week old German Shepherd husky mix, and she's gorgeous. I've asked many previous questions about her (lol). I also have a 13 year old dog, who still doesn't like her, but they're getting along better. Well my 13 year old (Raider) keeps eating the puppies food, and the puppy (Dakota) will eat the adult dog food. I try to redirect them, but it never works. Is this a huge problem? If it is, how do I correct it? And if not, should I just leave them be?
5 AnswersDogs7 years agoMy puppy's mouth is swollen? Help!?!?
Well last night, we had a family barbeque, and my puppy got ahold of a cob of corn. I didn't know she took it until I saw the corn cob sitting on the ground. She didn't eat any of the cob, at least I don't think she did. She's a 10 week old German shepherd husky mix, and she's pretty small right now. She was fine all last night, she was eating her food, playing around, and just acting how she normally does. But when we were going to bed, we put her in her cage, and she threw up. So we put her outside and gave her some water. She threw up seven more times after that last night, and early this morning, she took a nasty poop. Around 9:00 when we all got up, she was pretty normal, eating again, playing, and sleeping a lot (she's a puppy, she has to sleep a lot). But her mouth is swollen. Its also hard. It doesn't seem to hurt her because she doesn't do anything when we touch it. Could this have anything to do with the corn? We also have a colony of bees living in a tree in our backyard. She tries to eat them, and we try to redirect her when she does, but could she have eaten one or could one have stung her when we weren't looking? We are taking her to the vet as soon as my mom gets home. Is she going to be okay? Please help!
5 AnswersDogs7 years agoMy older dog doesn't like my puppy? Help?!?
Well we have a 13 year old sheltie schipperke (Raider) that we love more than anything, but he is afraid of other dogs. We just got a 9 week old husky German shepherd (Dakota) and sometimes they do well together, but most times, Raider is afraid of Dakota. He is afraid of a lot of things. He's still pretty active for his age, but he also likes to lay around a lot and just relax. She always wants to play with him and will always bark at him and nip at him, playfully, I think. And he will either run away of snap at her. Its been a week since we've had her, and it hasn't gotten any better. I know it takes time, but how can I get them to get along? Please help!
1 AnswerDogs7 years agoMy puppy peed in the house? Help?!?
We got a 2 month old German Shepherd husky mix one week ago today. She's doing pretty good with potty training. But tonight, we all had to leave. We were gone for about four hours, and that's the longest she's been alone so far. She was only alone one other time for 45 minutes, and she did great. Before we left, we tired her out and she went potty, and we put her in her cage and quietly left. She had one accident in the cage, just pee. That I can understand. What I don't understand is this: We let her out and took her to go potty right away when we got home, and she did. We played for a couple minutes outside then brought her back in. After about ten minutes, she peed in the house. So we told her no and brought her outside and told her potty. Ten minutes later, the same thing happened. It kept happening over the next couple hours. She managed to pee in the house 5 times in two hours, and she still peed outside before we went to bed. Why did she did this, and how do we make it stop? We were at the vet yesterday for her checkup, and he said that she was perfect. We have another dog who is afraid of her. We also have a bunny, who we periodically let run around our living room. We let the bunny out while we were gone and the puppy was in her cage, but they were in the same room. We're socializing them together slowly, and they get better each day. But what could explain her peeing? She also drank a little water only before the second time she peed. Please help!
