  • Best way to do taxes when I have 3 w2's and a 1099?

I have 3 w2s this year from separate employers, and a 1099 form from my time as a contractor. From what I understand, Turbotax charges extra for 1099 and I think they may also charge extra for multiple w2s. I'm pretty sure H&R block is expensive, and I'm already expecting to owe this year, so I'd rather find a way to get this taken care of inexpensively.

  • Can automotive fluids ruin a new tattoo?

I just got a new tattoo 4 days ago, and its already horribly faded and blurred to the point of which its barely recognizable. I've been working on the transmission of my car for the past few days as well, and in the process of dropping the pan, I inevitably got drenched in nasty burnt automatic transmission fluid. I warned my tattoo artist this would likely happen, and he told me it would not effect the new tattoo at all. But I'm fairly certain that this is what ruined it. Anyone have any similar experience, or know if transmission fluid can damage a tattoo?

  • Can automotive fluids ruin a new tattoo?

I just got my first tattoo 4 days ago. My artist told me to clean it gently and apply aftercare ointment 2-3 times per day, which I have been doing. But my tattoo has been healing horribly, fading and blurring to the point where its barely recognizable anymore. I'm fairly certain I know the cause too. I've been working on the transmission of my car for the past few days, which inevitably caused me to be drenched in transmission fluid. I warned my artist that this would happen and he told me it would not affect the healing process of my tattoo. I was a little skeptical of this, but took his word for it. Do you think the transmission fluid was the cause of this ruined tattoo?

  • Cheap, but decent speakers to mount on the back wall in my van?

The speakers in the back of my 1993 chevy van do not work, I have tried replacing them but the wiring is f#cked, and it would require me to gut the heavily modified interior to fix them. So I figured I could just mount some speakers on a wood panel in the back and wire it into the stereo. What speakers would you recommend for this? I'm thinking I'm going to screw comouter esque speakers into a wood panel.

  • Meals/recipes that don't require refrigeration?

This summer I will be crossing the country in an old camper van, which does not have a fridge. Any recommendations for meals I can make that won't need refrigeration?

  • Should I buy a Ford or Chevy van?

I need a van to carry around my band equipment with, and my budget is around 4 or 5 grand. I decided to go with a used conversion van since they are cheap and like the high top, and I can easily take out the unnecessary stuff like the bed and tv. But that brings me to my current dilemma. Ford or Chevy? I've already pretty much ruled out dodge. From what I've found, a Chevy g20 van would have a lot of room for my stuff and would probably be perfect for me. But I always hear that ford vans are tougher, last longer, and are better for towing. Every ford conversion van I've seen has looked smaller on the interior than a Chevy, so I guess it's a bit of a trade off. What do you think?

By the way, I'd rather not have to pull a trailer if I don't have to, so don't start telling me to just buy a trailer for my stuff. Thank you.

  • What do I need to go to Canada on vacation?

Some friends and I have decided to take a road trip in an old chevy conversion van into Canada, and come back to America afterwards. I've read very conflicting information on whether or not we need passports to cross the border and come back. Could someone tell me exactly what we need to make this trip work?

  • Why do people think vans are creepy?

I'm looking to buy a conversion van (probably a used chevy g20) for the purposes of carrying band equipment (I play in a metal band), possibly touring in, and also for taking road trips with friends. So for me, a big van would be very practical. But everyone else seems to think that full size vans are creepy. I'm a bit nervous to buy the van I want because I'm afraid that people will begin to look at me differently and judge me unfairly, and I really don't want to be labeled as a creep just for the kind of car I drive. I'm also afraid that someone will vandalize it and write "free candy" or something like that on the side. Normally I'm not the type of person who really cares what society thinks of me (I play in a prog metal band, which says enough haha) but for I think the social stigma attached to vans is a little different.

Anyway, enough rambling. What do you guys think about this? Do you think vans are a socially unacceptable vehicle to drive, or I should quit worrying about it and just buy one?

  • Should I drop out of college?

I'm a music major at a community college where I live. I decided that what I'm learning really isn't very beneficial to my music career, and it seems like I'm throwing money away for nothing. From what I've heard, music degrees don't have much value at all in the "real world," so I'm wondering what the point is. However, my friends and family don't seem very supportive of the idea of me quitting school. What do you think?

  • Why aren't there a lot of female guitarists?

I play in a progressive metal band, and we have a female bassist. She's very talented and we wouldn't be half the band we are without her. But people often ask us why she's a bassist and not a singer. I rarely see a woman who can play guitar or bass at an advanced level, and I often wonder why.

  • Do women find metal guitarists attractive?

I've always been told that chicks love guys who can play guitar. Now that I'm at the point where I play live shows in a band at least once a week, I've noticed that's maybe not the case. I don't mean to brag, but people have often told me I'm an electric guitar virtuoso as my skills are far past most other people. My stage presence is also very good. But I've never had any girls talk to me about it in any way other than being friendly. What do you think?

  • Best affordable full size vans for bands?

I'm looking for a van for my band. I currently drive a minivan that I can fit all our guitars and amps in and can fit 4 people. But our drummer has to take a separate car because we can't fit his drum set in with all our stuff. We're going on our first tour in a few months and we decided that we need a bigger van to fit everyone and everything. Any advice on something affordable that will work for us?

  • What do you think of a man with long hair?

I'm a man with hair that goes down to the bottom of my ribcage. That obviously makes me stand out from everyone. Some people tell me they like my hair, others hate it. I want to know in all honesty, what do you think of when you see a man with long hair. Does it make you think differently of them? Does it make them unattractive? I want honest opinions.

  • Can I get into a concert if someone else's name is on my ticket?

I recently ordered tickets to go to a concert, but I ordered them with my mom's ticketmaster account so I have her name on my ticket. Will that be a problem getting in?

  • I need a decent but affordable bass guitar to play thrash metal gigs with. Any recommendations?

I was recently given the opportunity to join my favorite local thrash metal band as the bassist. I did the audition with my buddy's bass, and I was given 2 weeks to learn their material and get a bass of my own before we start gigging together. What would you recommend as an affordable but decent bass?

This question is meant to make you think deeply about human nature and why we "love." And try to avoid simply saying it's for reproduction.
