ok, so i have a koi fish that's in a pretty big tank. lately he's not swimming and just lays on the bottom of the tank, and breathing sort of slower. he had his own big tank to himself, but then my dad moved him to another tank with fish 'cause the koi started to float vertically. he seems a little better than before, but still stays in one place on the bottom. his fins are not moving much, and he only moves when we feed him or his area gets crowded.

i don't know what type of fish it is, because we got it at a yard sale one or two years ago (but i have pics). it used to be in a really crowded tank, but now it's in a bigger tank with one other fish when we saw the bump over its eye enlarging. is it an infection of something?? what medicine should we get for it? please help my fish. ;~;

-mom gave it medicine (Special FLower Horn Disease Away- have no idea why she decided to use this when our fish isn't a flowerhorn), and ended up to make our fish to look what it is now

-red gills, still breathing sort of fast

i'm going to be a junior next year. i'm aiming for the national ap scholar award, so i'm going to self-study some aps. i'm thinking of self-studying ap environmental science because i heard it was easy and i've already taken honors environmental science. however, i'm in a magnet program and it requires us to take ap environmental science in senior year. i've already talked to the counselor and said i still have to take it even if i already took the exam.

although all aps are hard, i want to take 'easy' aps so i can get the award. i know this one girl who took 7 ap exams last year to get the award, and in the end didn't get it because she got a 3 on the chemistry exam which is a hard exam (didn't take the class).

do u think i should go self-study ap enviro. to get the award? i think i can do it if i study my butt off (lol).

this recession is giving me a headache.

anyways, my parents had a major fight to the point of my dad choking my mom. my dad is starting to think that he is the boss of everything since my mom lost her job and can't find a job. he accuses her that she's lazy and always having fun while leaving the kids at home (i'm 16 and my brother is 10) and wasting his money (in reality it's hard to get a job nowadays and takes cares of us just fine, but goes off to have fun to blow off some stress). my dad has a job but spends a lot of money, but claims that it's his own earned money (he cares about the kids).

so right now my family's at a breaking point, where the worst situation is a divorce (so trying to avoid that). wat should we do? i feel that it is very possible for us to stick together as long as everybody tries their best to work things out, but now everybody is on their edge. i'm thinking of asking my mom to leave with my brother for a few days since everybody's hot-headed and in order to figure out how to fix things (which is why i'm asking now). what can i do in this situation? get counseling? have a talk with my dad?

I'm applying to National Honor Society and I need to have 5 recommendations. I'm planning to ask one of my volunteer director, but i have to ask her through telephone and probably acquire her email address to send her the form. she would only have 20 days to complete the recommendation (i should have asked earlier but have been overwhelmed with exams and tests).

I've been volunteering under her for many years and know that she will probably give me a good recommendation, but i feel bad that i'm giving her such a short time to complete the form. Also, she has to send me the form in a sealed and signed envelope since she's not teaching at this school, thus cutting it slose to the dealine.i'm thinking of asking another teacher instead of the director.

so, should i either ask the director for a good recommendation and only give her a very limited time to do it, or ask another teacher whom i might not know as well but can send the recommendation faster.

my betta fish has been pretty sick for the past few weeks and i think it's going to die soon.

i cleaned the 2.5 gallon tank yesterday and put the heater on too high. so i just unplugged it. will the temperature drop too fast?

my betta looks AWFUL(-er). before, 76 degrees. after cleaning and one day, 80-83 degrees. i want to euthanize him, but i don't have any clove oil and don't want to cut his head off. >.< freezing and flushing are inhuman.

my sweet 16 is just in a week, and with my mom being unemployed and it's exam week everybody is all like, '"blah, must study, must find work."

but i feel really worry 'cause i keep thinking, "omg i'm already turning sixteen and have nothing planned. D:" my friends don't really see how serious this is (lol i sound like a worry wart) since my b-day's early and they all won't turn 16 until many months later.

what can i do for my 16th birthday with so little time left? i can't really do anything outside since its so COLD and we can't spend much since my mom's out-of-work. but i want to go somewhere and have fun! it's going to be a relatively small party with 4-5 friends. i really have no idea what to do.

please, to the community of yahoo!, HELP ME. D: give me some good ideas or past party ideas.

i've had my betta for about 2 years. he used to act like a normal betta: swimming around every little bit, snatching the food pellets, making nests, etc.

but now he looks a lot paler and well, almost about to die. he hangs out more at the bottom, sort of leaning, and when he swims his fins just flutters around as if he didn't have enough energy. when i look closer at him, he has a vague white line above his eyes and goes down. he doesn't make bubble nests anymore, not eating, and doesn't react when i hold up a mirror. i bump up the temp to 77 degrees, but nothing changed much.

he's in a 2.5 gallon tank now, and i just put in a heater (should have done that a while ago >.<).is this a disease? or is it that he's just going to die because of old age? ('cause i heard that a betta would live up to 1-2 years if there's no heater).

so i want to try out for track in the spring for the first time. i'm somewhat nervous 'cause i feel out of shape (i haven't been exercising a lot or at ALL because of the weather and school).

what's the best way to improve my endurance? also, if you've been in track before, what was the experience like? how were the practices usually conducted at your school?

in my county, u have at least to get an 89.5% to earn an A, while in my cousin's county u have to get a 92.5%. why do the grading policies different? in my cousin's county, is it really harder to get an A compared to my county? what are the advantages of having a lower/higher minimum percentage for an A?

i'm 15 right now and this question just popped inside my head a few times.

if i were to be accepted into a good university but had to pay out-of-state tuition, would i be eligible for in-state tuition if i live with family in that state?

the marking period just ended on oct 31st, but teachers still have one more day to put in grades. i have a 89.1% in spanish (need an 89.5% to get an A). she uploaded the grades onto Edline late in the afternoon the 31st, so i didn't know until then. i calculated that i only needed two more points to get an A. i already sent her an email about my grades. do u think she'll let me redo a homework (one that i got a 4/6) to get those two points?

i posted up a poster for a food drive in my neighborhood. i need to collect the food on friday and then drop it off saturday morning at the food donation center. i would have posted the poster up earlier but i was too busy last week to do it.i'm planning to send out flyers on wednesday and thursday and talk to my neighbors about it. althoughit's short-notice, do u think i'll be able to collect at least 20 pounds of food?

what are the dependent and independent variables for a experiment that's determining how many drops of water can fit on a penny?

i have to give a speech today in english, but i didn't manage to even start it yet. i really need extra tome to work on it because i don't have the time nor desire to do english. i've also haven't been sleeping regularly this week (going to sleep at 1-2 am). do u think my teacher would give me an extension?

my dad got me a new PC and put in the hard-drive from the old one so i can download the files onto a cd before he puts in a bigger hard-drive. but i don't see my files anywhere!! i used to have windows XP, but then my dad switched it to windows Vista.

why can't i found my files? also, if i were to put the hard-drive back into the old pc on XP, will i be able to get them back?

i lost my pencil pouch at school. it's very simple and cute, and it has some sentimental value to me. i got it when i was in elenmentary, probably. should i offer a reward for it? how much should it be?

with a budget cut this year, school fees have been hiking up. i probably need about $100 to pay off my fees (class fees, library fees, music fees, etc.). my mom lost her job a year ago so things have been a little tight and i don't want to ask my parents for money. i don't think my family qualify for a wavier either since my dad's working over-time and we're since a middle-class family.

i can't get a job since i don't have time in my schedule. is there any way for a 10th grader student to make money without a job? i don't have any talents that anybody needs.

what can i do to make money?
