  • Why is Aluminum-free deodorant causing my dark underarms?

No, it's not the other way around for me. I've looked it up and I always see it's the aluminum deodorants doing this to people but not me. I don't want aluminum based deodorants so I've tried Tom's and recently Arm and Hammer but after a few weeks of using them, my underarms get dark. Then as I stop using it, they get normal.

Does any know of any decent one that doesn't do this? Or why it does it? I'd like aluminum free only, but if it's causing this, which I think it is, then I just don't know. Thank you!

  • Differenece between saline and stimulant laxative?

I know stimulant ones are not great for your intestine lining. So is there a difference between the two? Is one better for you than the other? Even for rare use, I don't like the idea of a deteriorating lining :)

  • Using curlers for first time, hairspray question?

I am thinking of buying some curlers, I want to try something new with my hair. My hair is naturally curly, however, I am half black and over a year ago I got a relaxer, so right now my natural hair is growing in, so my hair is uneven looking. The bottom half of my hair is straight looking and the top half is my curly natural hair, so you can imagine it looks weird lol

Anyway! I want to try to at least make it look even and try a new hair style at the same time. So when my hair is wet, should I put hairspray in my hair before I put in the curlers, or after? Or both? It must be weird to sleep with them in, but I feel it would be better if I kept them in overnight.

You got any tips on what you do? And how to sleep in them? I never done this before, but I assume the best results are if you keep them in for a long time. Basically I am going somewhere next weekend and I would like to do this Thursday night, so Friday my hair will be done. I cannot do it Friday because I need to go to work in the morning then I leave right after work. I'm rambling.. thanks!

  • Microsoft SQL, .NET, Visual, can I delete these? Help?

I recently uninstalled my visual basic program, so I do not plan of getting it again. But I see I have tons of like Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Visual C plus.. I see that these have all been installed around the time I installed the Visual Basic.. so does this mean I can delete these? They take up so much room and I don't have VB anymore.

Also as I try to delete some things, the Windows Installer pops up FOREVER and does not uninstall the program, it just says "Preparing to remove" but nothing pops up in order for me to remove it, perhaps its my PC? or maybe it's just slow?

So anyway, it is safe to delete these programs correct? I hope so because my computer is getting really slow.

  • Add almonds to ready-to-bake cookies?

I just bought some Pillsbury Ready to bake chocolate chip cookies and I was thinking of cutting or crushing up some almonds and adding them in half of the cookies. I never bake so I have kind of a stupid question(s).

SO, when I get the almonds chunks, how should I add them in? The cookie dough is in the roll form, so all I need to do is cut them. I was thinking of putting the almond chunks in a bowl then take a cut cookie dough and just kind of "dip" one side into the almonds, so that one side has the almonds plus it's visibly an almond one.

Is this method okay? Would the almonds burn a little in the oven? because maybe they are sticking out of the dough a little.

OR should I just take a cut cookie dough and roll some almond chunks into it as if I am making my own cookies?

Which do you think is best? I am making these cookies for my boyfriend for his birthday, so I am hoping the almond thing works out.

  • From experience, Shaws or Stop and Shop cheaper?

    Hi!

I really hope you guys can help me out! I am going shopping this weekend and I've been trying to see where is cheaper. I was able to use PeaPod to check prices at Stop and Shop but Shaws doesn't have anything like that. I have limited money so I am curious to know is Shaws or Stop and Shop cheaper?

I don't want to have to go to Shaws, check prices then go to Stop and Shop, who has that kind of time? So from everyone's experience, which place is better for prices?

  • Has a Chinatown bus ever been canceled due to weather?

I have a ticket for Bolt Bus this Friday but it is supposed to snow. I doubt it will be that bad, but it's not even snowing that bad TODAY and they canceled. I was wondering this because if my bus is canceled, I would definitely take LuckyStar or something. Have they ever canceled? I remember I rode Luckystar in really bad snow last New Years Eve 2009. I feel they are more reliable and won't cancel unless there's like an apocalypse or something.

  • If it snows heavily, should I still go to my friends wedding or no?

I have a wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon, but it says that it's supposed to snow tonight and all day tomorrow. I will be driving to the wedding and it's about a half hour away. I do not like driving in snow, it makes me uncomfortable. Anyone who has driven in snow understands

What should I do? I feel bad if this happens and I don't go. I can try to see if there is another way to get there without me driving, but all I can think is that if I don't go then I can meet up with her sometime and give her my gift and whatnot.

Has this happened to anyone where they didn't go to a wedding because of weather?

    Thanks :)

  • Under what economy-wide economic conditions, if any, might you expect to see corporate bond yields rise while?

Under what economy-wide economic conditions, if any, might you expect to see corporate bond yields rise while Treasury Bond yields fell?

I need help with this question. I am not asking to completely answer it, but if you do I don't mind. I don't understand this really. Does an answer along these lines makes sense?

"Perhaps it could occur that corporate bonds grow due to the fact that the government becomes in massive debt. If the economy is bad, corporate bonds would be more desirable."

Are there any good sites that are very helpful with Macroeconomics. What can you tell me about the question that I need to understand?

    Thanks you!

  • My computer keeps doing chkdsk volume thing when I start it?

Someone please help! This is very annoying. I don't know what my computer is doing and if there is a corrupt file how am I to know which one it is and how can I fix it? All my computer does is like a C drive chkdsk volume thing, it says for "consistency". Well that's fine but how can I stop this! What is wrong with my c drive and how do I know? I cleaned my d drive and I deleted things from my C drive that I don't need so I don't think that it being full is the issue...

  • Applying to 2-3 teaching jobs in Korea?

For people with experience working in South Korea, or even anywhere in East Asia teaching English. When you applied for your job did you apply to more than one place? Is it a good idea? I was thinking it was but it wasn't because if you back out of a job offer it looks bad. However on one application I saw that it asked you if you applied anywhere else.

So when applying should you apply to at least one more place just in case?

  • What is this called on your (Picture) skin?

These are on my upper thighs and I never know what they are and I want to get rid of them. I don't think they are hair bumps or ingrown hair because they don't hurt or anything. I've always had them but I HATE them. They make me self-conscious I hate wearing shorts and stuff. Is there anyway to get rid of these?? I really hope there is a way.

  • Should I exercise before or after I eat?

And how long should I wait? If I should exercise before I eat, how long should I wait to eat after that. Or if I should exercise after I eat, how long should I wait to exercise? I'm talking about dinner if that matters at all. Thanks :)

  • Teaching in Japan, housing question??!?

Is it possible to find a family that will let you do a homestay in Japan if you came to teach English for a year? Does anyone know how hard it is to find affordable housing there? I always wanted to experience a homestay, but of course you have no privacy, but anyway is that possible? Or maybe just for a few months?

I'm thinking that finding an affordable apartment is tough...
