Complex Excel question - simulating a football season?
I'm building a spreadsheet to simulate all the fixtures in a football season, and I've successfully done it for one iteration. Is there a way I can make it run a large number of times (say 100,000) and print the results of each iteration to give me meaningful results?
Many thanks.
1 AnswerSoftware4 years agoIs the phrase ‘¿Cómo de importante es...? considered gramatically correct in Spain?
By which I mean 'How important is...?' I've seen the phrase written but wondered if it was a more Latin American phrase and if there was a more accurate of phrasing it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
4 AnswersLanguages9 years agoWhat does "Si el fútbol es viejo, el racismo le gana por goleada" mean?
I'm having trouble interpreting this. "If football is old, racism wins by.." An explanation from a native Spanish speaker would be much appreciated!

Like on some crazy accumulator. Would I just get the company or what?
5 AnswersGambling1 decade agoAren't rebuy tournaments just stupid?
I accidentally bought into one just now. It seems crazy to have a game where success is just dependent on how much money you're willing to throw at it. Don't you think people should always start on equal footing? Right at the start there are people with 6x my chips.
Rant over.

5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoA couple of Spanish tense questions?
If you're talking about a survey from a couple of years ago in which people expressed opinions about something, which tense would you use when referring to what they thought? E.g ...personas sentían que los americanos tratan los inmigrantes...
Would sentir and and tratar be in the imperfect for this? The preterite? Would they both be in the same tense?
One more thing, when saying Pienso que... would any following conjugated verbs be in the subjunctive form?
Thanks :)
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoA couple of phrases I'm unsure of how to translate into Spanish?
Hi there. Does anyone know the best way to translate:
-As you(one) can imagine..
and
-Having (verb), e.g 'Having explored the area, I... or 'Having eaten, he went to bed' sort of thing.
Thanks.
4 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat is the range of masses a star can have and be similar to the sun?
So, stars with half our sun's mass are red dwarfs, and stars 10 times our sun's mass are blue supergiants. Would a star 5 times its mass have similar properties to our sun? Would its use of the CNO cycle rather than the PP chain to fuse hydrogen have an influence on its eventual fate? It's just that brown dwarfs and red dwarfs etc seem to be neatly compartmentalised into certain masses and given certain properties, but what is the general category for stars like our sun, those which become red giants but never supernovae?
If anyone could link me to an article or something that addresses this, it would also be very much appreciated :)
2 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoDo red dwarfs eventually become white dwarfs?
According to this image:
http://www.siprep.org/faculty/aokeefe/images/stell...
..a red dwarf will eventually degenerate into a white dwarf once it no longer has hydrogen left to fuse, but when I read about white dwarfs from various sources it always seems to imply that white dwarfs come only from red giants. Can anyone please clarify this for me?

4 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat could be wrong with my car?
Ok, so I drive an old 1996 Vauxhall Corsa. Sometimes, like today, the engine seems to keep losing power. I can be driving along and it'll suddenly just start slowing down and start juddering. When it's bad, my car actually just dies everytime I try to pull away. Often it's absolutely fine but it's scary when your car just dies on a budy junction and there's nothing you can do about it.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy is it acceptable for car insurance companies to only insure women or people of a certain age, but not..?
..only insure white people, or black people. I know they base it on statistics and all, but even if statistics showed that people of a certain race crashed more I very much doubt a company be allowed to not insure them.
Just a thought.
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoEmail endings changing?
Hi,
briefly put, my email used to end in .com, and now it ends in .co.uk. Now I can't access something I'm registered to because the ending has changed, I don't know when it happened. Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail1 decade agoIs there something wrong with my calculation?
Let's say you have a plastic cylinder closed off at either end. It is 10cm long and has a radius of 1.5cm. Is its volume therefore 10 * (pi * 1.5^2)cm^3? Since this equals 70.7, and water has a density of 1g/cm^3 should this not mean that the cylinder could weigh anything up to 70.7 grams before it would sink?
I ask because I did an experiment like this and the results didn't fit my calculation.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Does it make sense that a lighter weight will drop to its maximum depth before floating back to the surface more quickly than a heavier object of the same volume?
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoFree software with slow motion?
I filmed a physics experiment I've done, and I need to record times from it but we're talking times under a second here so it needs to be slowed down. Media Player's half speed isn't sufficient, does anyone know of some other software that could help me?
Many thanks.
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoPermanently thirsty..?

4 AnswersDiabetes1 decade agoInteresting thing to write about in Spain?
Well it's a bit of a strange question but I have to write a large essay about something in Spain, anything, such as 'Has the Church lost influence in recent years and why?' or 'What has caused the huge rise in obesity in Spain in the last 10 years'?
Something like that, and I'm finding it hard to come up with a good idea and lots to write about.
All I'm asking is for some vague ideas, they would be much appreciated :)
