We will be spending a few days in Havana and then would like to see more of the island. A friend of mine rented a car and had a blast. Where can I rent a car? How much will it cost? What precautions should we take?

My son and I will be in Villahermosa at the end of the month and staying about ten days. We need something that is relatively close to the airport, La Venta, and is for budget travellers ($40 - $60 Canadian per night). We are going to Palenque and would appreciate any information on that leg of our journey as well.

My son and I (he is 18) will be in Mexico City during late July. We want to travel by train or bus to Villahermosa and stay for a few days, then go to Palenque for a couple of days. Anyone out there done this recently. I travelled through this region before (twice) but it was years ago (1979 and 1981) and know that it has changed and my memory has faded. We will be staying in Mexico City near the Presidential Palace and Zocola. We are open to the bus or train. Prices? Availability and frequency of service?

It is question for people other than Americans. I am truly interested in what others around the world think of the upcoming election and who do they hope will be elected this November. In your answer tell me where you are from.

The terms "liberal" and "conservative" are thrown around so indiscriminately in Yahoo! Answers that I believe many of us truly do not know what each means. I think the divide between the two is not as wide a many think and that many confuse political partisanship with an understanding of ideology. I am looking for a clear definition of each. I have my own definition but it is not important that your definition and mine be the same. I will consider clear, respectful answers only. No crap about how liberals love Osama bin Laden and abort babies for fun and how conservatives want to crucify gays and think everyone should carry a gun.

Also please avoid using the names of politicians or modern political parties unless absolutely necessary.
