Katy Perry has a 6th song going up the charts from her album that was released over a year ago. Why don't all the "good" songs from an album come out on the radio at once? It seems to me they start being played once the artist releases a single. So what comes first, the popularity of a track or the release of a single for it?

I have this question in my book and i cant understand the answer in the back of the book. I need to solve:

x^2(y'')+2x(y')-2y = (6/(x^2)) + 3x

I recognize it as a cauchy-euler equation, but the book gives an answer of:

(the c's are two different constants)

c(x) + c(x^-2) - 2(x^-2)ln(x) +x(lnx)

this answer makes no sense to me, expecially since i get my r to be -1 +/- sqrt(3)

any help? is the book right and if so how?

I know quite a bit about computers, but one thing i could never quite understand is the CPU/FSB/RAM speeds. It gets confusing when the FSB actually runs at 1/4 the theoretical speed, and the RAM at 1/2 the theoretical speed, etc.

I am getting a processor with a FSB of 800 MHz (don't tell me i need a 1066, im not going to play games on it). The motherboard I'm getting supports the processor and can have RAM from 533 to 800 MHz.

Here is my math: If i put in 2 paired (dual-channel) sticks of RAM, then the FSB/RAM will be even when the theoretical RAM speed is half the theoretical FSB speed. So, with dual-channel configured sticks, DDR2 400 MHz would match my 800 MHz FSB.

SO, since my motherboard supports 533 at the lowest, i should use that because any more would be overkill and would have no benefit unless i was seriously overclocking.

I do not have AT&T, and I don't want to switch. I just wanted to know why no other company has tried to make a phone like the iPhone?

Does anybody know of a phone sold in the US that has a multi-touch screen, Wi-Fi, mp3 player, video player, and 3G connectivity?

Does Apple have some type of patent on these things? I know the don't have a patent on the multi-touch screen, but for some reason i don't see another a phone with that or one that can use Wi-Fi nand switch to 3G for internet when the Wi-Fi is not available.

Where is the competition? I want one for verizon!!!

Why don't they just call their vets? I find these types of questions all the time, and it annoys me that their dog has blood in its stool and they go to Yahoo Answers to find out what is wrong. Are you kidding me?

I was wondering how to connect to this from a remote location.

I have installed "SmartFTP" and was able to connect with a computer on my home network using the Local IP (192.168....)

what do i have to do to access this remotely? Is there a different IP???

NOTE: I have a PPPoE DSL connection from Yahoo (Dynamic IP, not static)

My computer has a working USB connection, an Ethernet Adapter, and A floppy dirve. Unfortunately, there is no CD Drive to load Linux with, and no Operating system to boot from USB with, just a blank Hard Drive. Also, my BIOS won't load setup. I feel like i am running out of options. Does anyone know of a method to get Ubuntu on this system???

I was thinking that maybe i use a bootable floppy to get on my network and send a copy over Ethernet to the computer in question from a working computer, but i don't know of a boot floppy or the right commands to send a file like that.

i have a really stupid gamertag and i need a new one because i am going online with a Gold supscription this christmas.

I would like to know what secondary education you pursued in order to get such jobs. I am in high school and i know what i want to do for a living, but don't know what secondary education and certification i might need. What do you recommend?

I want to fix/build computers, maybe moving up to a network management position and maybe later in life starting a computer fixing/custom computer building store. I am really good for my age at both hardware and software- check some of my answers.

I would also like to know of a good part time job for a 16 year old (me) looking to get his foot in the door. Do you think a Best Buy/Circuit City Job would be good? Will they take part-time 16 year olds? Or should i start putting out ads and do some fixing jobs from home?

I was wondering if anyone had a good fix for a green shaded screen on the XBOX 360 Premium. The problem arises after about 5 minutes of gameplay on some games and about 30 minutes on other games. The 3d intensive parts of the display, such as shadows and textures, turn green for no reason. The Dashboard also turns green, as well as the pop-up side bars. Has anyone had this problem and found a fix for it- if so i would love to hear it.
