I have made some rings out of deer antlers. I've used clear spray paint, polyurathane, sealer, clear glaze, and even varnish. All seem to dry good but get tacky after worn. What is a good method to dipping or preserving.

  • is the newer penny with a shield worth .25 cents?

While out shopping, a lady at the register told me that the newer pennies that have a shield on the back have been discontinued and that they are worth .25 cents each. Does anyone know of this being true. I have looked it up on google and yahoo, but cannot find any definitive answers. Thanks for the input.

  • my corn snake hasn't eaten in two months?

I have a 8-9 month old corn snake. I fed her a little less than two months ago, I've tried feeding her every Saturday since but she won't eat. She turns away. She has been hiding a lot and has been shedding her skin very slowly. She usually sheds her skin off in one night, but this time it's hanging in there for a while. Since it's winter, would she naturally know that she doesn't need as much food, or should she still be eating normally. I feed her Frozen (thawed warm) fuzzies, she is 30 inches long, a snow corn snake. She is with her "friend" and she is eating just fine and they have been together from the beginning. They do not eat together anyways. She has a day bulb (mostly for cosmetic looks but it is UVB, UVA light), she has two heaters under the tank, and one end of the thank has a night heat light. The tank is 55 gallon and very spacious for her two reach different temps.

  • is the temp too cold for the dog outside?

My neighbor has an alaskan malamute and she leaves it outside all the time with NO shelter. It is negative 10 degrees here in michigan. The dog is chained to the house and like I said NO shelter. I called the police and listened to the police scanner from the house to hear what the outcome was going to be and the officer says the dog is fine and loves being outside. Now, I know these dogs can handle the extreme temp. But it really bothers me to see him out there. What should my next step be?

  • your opinion on dog multi-vitamins?

I have a Lab, he is 6 months old. I have always given him 2 multivitimins for dogs a day. I do it according to the bottle and size and weight of the dog. He is a healthy dog anyway, but I thought maybe it couldn't hurt. But I am interested in others opinions on whether it's worth it or necessary to give dogs a multivitimin.

  • large goldfish fins deteriorating?

My mother has a large single goldfish in an aquarium. It's fins seem to be deteriorating. They are very short now. He eats and swims normally, but his fins used to be long and would flow along, now they look like someone has cut them off close to the body. This goes for all the fins on his body.

  • can you house a bearded dragon and sulcata tortoise together?

I have a three year old sulcata tortoise and a full grown bearded dragon. Could I house them together? They originate from the same country, therefore they live with the same environment standards. I have heard of people housing them together, I'm just curious if it is okay to do.

I do understand that it would take up large space because the tortoise needs the space, and I'm fully aware and willing to have an enclosure built to suit them.

  • my dog loves manderin oranges....is this okay to eat?

Just last week my daughter left her manderin orange dish in the living room and the dog went crazy over it. So and few times since I've tested it on him and he really loves them, and the juice. Now, I won't allow this to be a staple in his diet, but is it okay on occasion?
