  • Buying stocks at 20?

So, the economic situation in Zimbabwe is terrible, it s deteriorating daily. At the age of 20, working at a fast food restaurant would be a dream, but even in such areas you can only enter through connections and nepotism. Basically I ve never had a job, and have very little money I get as allowance at university.

I want to know if it s possible for me to enter the international stock market and actually benefit from it with money as little as $10-$50? I know that for you to start gaining from this investment would take time, but it s worth it. I just need to know if it s possible and if it is, what do I need to know

  • When I run, my legs itch?

I'm a 19 year old male, moderately obese and trying to get in shape.

I tried running one morning and after 45 seconds my thighs, butt and lower back were itching so bad I had to stop.

Itching is not unusual when running, when I was in highschool it would itch and I could actually ignore the sensation because it was mild, when I'm at my cousins, we play a lot and it involves a lot of running and there's barely an itch, but this time it was so overwhelming that I couldn't go any further.

I tried it two more times, and the overwhelming itch came back within a minute.

    What's the problem here?

If there's not much I can do, what other cardio routines can I do that don't involve long distance running.

  • Will losing weight make me look as young as I am?

So, I m a 19 year old guy who s 6ft and weighs 245lbs. I gained a lot of weight in the past five years. People, including my parents, say I look 25-30 and even outright tell me I m ugly now, and that s been a blow to my self esteem and it has worsened my social anxiety.

In the last week I ve started a workout routine and changed my diet because I m determined to shed this weight off before I go off to college.

I just want to know if losing my weight will make me look younger. Also, for those who ve gone through a weight loss journey, what would you suggest I do to lose weight properly.

  • How to become more flexible?

I want to become more flexible, almost as flexible as ballet dancers and acrobats, but I know that would be difficult considering that I'm a 20 year old man and my body isn't as malleable as a child's.

At some point I want to do acrobatics, so I need to achieve flexibility first.

Do you know any thing I can do to become more flexible? I'm prepared to do daily routines and allocate a certain amount of time in my day to just improving my flexibility. I want it to become part of my lifestyle.

  • How to read a book?

I've been reading a book recently called "How To Read A Book" by Adler Mortimer. It's really hard to push through, however, so it's taking me forever to read through it.

Basically what it's supposed to teach me is how to read any great non-fictional book and derive understanding and knowledge for it. For instance, I was an arts student in highschool (finished highschool last year) but I'm supposed to learn how to read from a science book and understand a lot from chemistry, physics and biology, maybe even be able to put it to practice.

But the book has been taking too long for me to push through. Do any of you know how I can learn how to read better and understand what I'm reading to clarity? If you have techniques or hacks, please share. Articles and links are welcome too. Even book suggestions.

I want to take a shot at it. I need to learn more about this course.

    Would the pay be decent?

    Is it office based?

    How difficult is it?

Is it a decent course with decent future pay?

  • Two year course in one year?

I want to do biology, chemistry and physics in one year. It won't be at school and I'll have a private tutor hopefully. It's an A level Cambridge course and it's usually done in a span o two years, but I want to do it in one.

I don't really have much to do and I'm willing to work extra hard/

Is it possible for me to achieve this?

  • What courses should I do in University?

I just got my A level Cambridge results, and I passed my three subjects, English Language, Business Studies and Geography.

I just want to know all or many of the courses that are available to me in university. I know it s not much since my subjects were cheap, but I just want to see my options.

  • How to I become a social butterfly?

I'm a 19 year old boy and I want to become a social butterfly. I know it starts from confidence, so I know I'll lose weight and take better care of my body. But that's not all it takes, and I don't know what I'd need.

I'm painfully shy, I probably have social anxiety because social situations scare me. I stumble a lot when I speak and I'm just awkward and clumsy in general. Next year I have 6 months before I go to University and I want to transform myself physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually so that I can have the bright personality that everyone loves.

  • Do all gay men suffer from 'gay bowel syndrome'?

So I was in a debate with this guy, he said homosexuality is unnatural then stated that this is because gay men end up having to use diapers.

How do I debunk this with statistics and credible sources?

  • How to have banter, or have nice conversations?

I'm a bilingual eighteen year old in my last year of Highschool. I'm fairly competent at speaking both my native tongue and the English language. My only problem is that I'm a social retard.

I can barely hold a conversation and these are always dry. I'm not funny, although I do appreciate a lot of humor, but when I try it just comes out as cringey. I stutter sometimes, or stumble over my words more than my peers do. When speaking, I need to take a lot of time thinking because I'm not competent enough to string more than 3 sentences without stumbling over my words or making terrible errors.

Maybe it's because I have low confidence, but that has improved greatly in the past few years. Or maybe It's because I'm reserved because there are things I don't want people knowing about me. (I live in a conservative country, so maybe you can get the hint)

I just need to know how to fix this. I want to speak English as fluently as I write it and I don't want anyone to feel like talking to me is more of an affliction than a pleasure. I've seen people deliver improvised speech in the most articulate manner and at a pleasing pace.

I'll find a way to improve my social interactions and whatnot, but I need help in becoming an eloquent English speaker with great banter and flowery language.

    My short story:

Please read and review it for me. I ask that you be harsh and brutally with your review and tell me all the things I did wrong and need to fix.

Btw "Carpe Diem" means "Seize the day" which translates to 'live life to the fullest'

My Nikon camera lens is crooked?

I think something happened to my camera lens. It was perfectly fine Last week but one day I went with it to school. I put it in my locker in its bag and locked it in. Later that day I took it out and that top ring before the filter ring had slanted a bit and the zoom ring was stuck.

My camera is a 18-55mm f/3.6-5.6 DX VR

I attached a photo of the camera without its lens cap so that you can see how slanted the top part is. How do I fix this if you know any site that can help me please link it?

  • Discrimination against black girls?

Last year in a South African school located in Pretoria there was an incident. This black girl was told to straighten her hair like the school rules required her but she refused and instead came back with a large luscious afro as a way of protesting.

The other black girls joined her saying that the school rules required them to force their hair into eurocentric standards which was to them a form of racism which was unfortunate seeing as they were in their own home country and were being forced to be more white.

The less white you are, the less beautiful you are; it's something we've had imparted on us even by our own parents indirectly. It's something I've noticed even with my peers. They straighten their hair, change their accents and even try to get in with the white crowd and it;s just sad.

Finally this got news coverage and the school came under fire They had to change the rules quickly and now black girls were allowed to wear their hair as naturally as white girls.

But white parents and some black parents weren't happy with this. Why do you think that is? And why was it so bad for her Biology to be accepted without being ridiculed and called "untidy" or just unprofessional?

  • My school is racist?

So at school us, black students, are required to keep our hair short because apparently it's untidy but the white students get to keep their hair long.

I love my hair, I think it's nice and soft when it's grown and it has this shine to it and whenever I can, I try to keep it as long as it can be, but at school they won't allow me, when the white students are allowed to keep their hair long.

I asked this question before and the answers were about how nappy hair is untidy or something. Why is nappy hair untidy? Is it because it doesn't reach Caucasian standards? Because I know how Africans appreciated their own hair before slavery, after slavery it is seen as disgusting.

I need to ask my headmaster why he made those hair standards, he's black so he should be able to see my point of view especially since mos of the students and teachers are black.

Can someone give me arguments I can make against this discrimination?
