  • Beagle potty training?

I have a 10 month old Beagle pup (female) and we are just having an awful time training her. She will "go" outside but only if we are in the house. When we crate her she just goes in there and now she has a rash on her belly. Does anyone have any tips on house training? She is a very sweet dog and we do not want to get rid of her but we have a new baby that will be crawling soon and I don't want her crawling on carpet that has been pooed on a bunch of times. I have heard that Beagles are notariously hard to train. Is there a trick with them? SHe does seem to respond to treats rather well when it come to "sit" and things along that line but she just does not get it when it comes to the potty issue. Thanks for your input.

  • Does Izzie from Greys totally bug anyone else?

With her long-winded I am so perfect speeches and all that. I mean she was all up in Georges face about getting married and all, but she never even saw the love of her life, her fiance, out of the hospital. She is such a hypocrite.

  • One episode of heavy drinking during 19th week of pregnancy?

Alright, I want to start off by please asking those of you who will tell me how horrible I am to please not. I am trying to kick my self loathing, can't sleep, worrying myself sick over this, kick that I am on. I threw a suprise party for my husband on Saturday, from about 2pm till 9. In that time I had 2 glasses of wine and about a glass and a half of beer. Now I am afraid that my baby is going to be messed up. What do you all think? Am I stressing myself unnessecarily? I also have had about 10 ozs of so of beer once every 2 weeks for the past couple of months. But I am not touching another drop after this, plus I have been dong a lot of reading online and I had no idea that small amounts of alcohol could be so damaging to a fetus. Thats all.

  • water weight gain during pregnancy?

My question is kind of a few questions. You see, I am obese, I am 210 pounds. When I was pregnant with my first son I gained 60-70 lbs,4 years ago, and have not been able to loose 50 of it, despite diet and exercise. I am not a stupid person and I know how to take care of myself but just can't loose weight. I am pregnant again, about 5 weeks, and I am desperatly afraid that I will gain that much weight again. I do not think I could handle being any more over weight. Already I have gained 10 pounds. Could it just be water weight already, or what else could it be? Does anyone have any good tips about how to keep too many pounds off while pregnant. I have medical coverage, but it is military medicine and they never answer or listen to questions. Thank you

  • Tums as calicium supplement?

Is Tums a good source of calcium, or does the fact that it neutralizes stomach acids cause the calcium not to be absorbed? I have heard it both ways. My mother-in-law has been taking it as her source for about 10 yrs. and I want to make sure it is okay for her, and is helping her prevent osteoporosis.
