back many years ago if the car was built in Japan there was no "hold-back" and cost was cost and that was true among import dealers of the time, they had to "pack" their invoices to cover their operating costs. It had a Koehler 12 horse engine and a kind of 2-speed belt-drive transmission with a reverse mechanism. It looked like it had trailer wheels on it, maybe 12" it was all flat panels and straight lines except for the nose which looked kinda like the old aqua car in 3/4 scale. When I was just a wee lad my dad had a salesman at the store named T-Bone Rogers .Now in the course of affairs around a car lot just before fall a lot of the talk turns to hunting. mostly deer hunting and good places to hunt.Now in this part of the stone age there was no R.V.'s or even travel trailers in any number which meant accomidations was a tinshack with a propane stove if you were lucky and indoor running water for the sink. There were never any fancy indoor plumbing facilities. This is where T-Bone comes in, a salesman was shooting the breeze and talking about this great lease he had access to but he couldn't abide the using an outhouse, well T-Bone chimed in and said he could build ond and guarantee it not to stink for 100 dollars, that was a WHOLE lot of money but the guy really wanted the lease and agreed to the hundred. about a month later He came storming back and said his privy stunk, so T goes with him to see. he looks insid and say"no wonder somebody s*** in here!"
