  • How can my Argentine girlfriend come to the U.S. ?

    The way I see it there are only a few options...she does not live in a visa reciprocity country so it's apparently hard for her even to come visit as a tourist. She is Argentine and not wealthy.

    1. Marry her, which I don't necessarily want to do, and I also believe you need to have a documented job/income in order to be able to sponsor someone on a spouse visa? I'm a graduate student without any real income.

    2. Come to study in the U.S. I believe you have to be accepted to an institution and prove you will be able to pay for it before they let you in.

    3. Come on a tourist visa for 6 months, same problems as above.

    Any suggestions?
