  • Trying to supplement breast feeding a with some formula. Has anyone had these issues?

My baby is 2 weeks old and I intend in returning to work at 6 weeks. I'm attempting to get him familiar to formula now that way the transition is easier. Every formula I have tried ( gerber gentle, soothe, protect, and soy) has caused horrible fussiness and gas. Even the gerber soothe that's made for gas. He gets breast milk in a bottle about 50% of the time and on days he only has breast milk he isn't fussy. With formula it's almost immediately after a feeding it all starts. Has anyone had this issue? Any ideas?

My other son who was strictly formula took the similac alimentium. I'm beginning to think this little guy might need that as well..

  • Can someone help me find a Savannah Monitor?

I have been looking for a Savannah Monitor for the past week. I am looking to buy one, or two depending on the age. I also need for the place to ship to Va, or is in or near Va. I have only found one place that carries savannah's this time of year and this place is in Europe, meaning they do not ship over seas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • In your opinion, would you?

To make a very long story short, I have enlisted in the Army (US of course). While not listing names, an active duty person advised me to not attempt for a job with ANY type of security clearance for the ONLY reason of my credit score is below 600. This was said to me right before going to MEPS to select a MOS.

A little background on me. I am married, and had to file for a waiver because I have two children and a step daughter. I scored 93 qualifying score out of 99, and an overall 131 GT score on the ASVAB. I wanted to see about a linguist MOS, and I was offered EOD, which I was interested in. I happened to choose a petroleum specialist job because I thought I would not qualify for the security clearance other jobs needed. The only thing on my credit report is one closed credit card, and medical bills. Only thing on my record is a speeding ticket or two, and maybe another minor traffic violation.

My question is, would you tell the sgt in command that you believe you are over qualified for the job you have, and wish to change jobs. And apply for a security clearance. I asked my recruiter if it was possible that I changed jobs and his response was to stick to it for about 6 months after AIT and request a different job. When I selected the job I currently have,

Has anyone else gone through something like this?

BTW 6 year enlistment, and I am more than willing to sacrifice my sign on bonus for a job that I like.

    Thanks in Advance everyone!!

I am having an MRI with contrast media on my shoulder. Is this painful? I was told to bring someone to drive me home and I wasn't going to be put out or given any meds other than the injection of contrast media (dye). Has anyone had this done?

  • Being sued for returning car. . ...?

Ok the situation is as such. I was buying a car from a car lot with on site financing, BHPH I suppose. I took the total price of the car from 10,300 down to 5,800 and had the car for 13 months, every payment was made on time as well. Long story short I went to renew my tags and my co-signer now had to file SR-22. My insurance would not add SR-22 to the car because he was not a licensed driver anymore. To get his license back it would have costed us over a grand. So I took the car back to the lot. I know this is still called a reposession, but they did not have to come pick it up.

So this car goes onto our credit reports, obviously. I hired a company to clean up my credit. Their motto is something like if there is any report to your credit that is untrue, by law it has to be removed. They have to Prove it or remove it. So a month after going to this place, the car was removed from my credit. The car lot's claim and their debt collections agency as well. The guy at this company said that the car lot wrote my car, the return I believe, as a tax write off, and resold the car. He stated that I did not owe them one red cent because they wrote the car off. Well now, a little over a year after the return the car lot/collections agency is taking me and the co-signer to court for the balance left on the car (not after reselling the car, the initial balance when it was returned), and attourney fees.

I suppose my question is, am I liable for the full amount? Has anyone gone through this? What happens if they do rule in thier favor and I physically cannot pay for the car? I do have other bills, children, etc. Any answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks!! What can I say in court to help in my favor?

  • question about sit-ups in ARMY basic training..?

Ok, to make a long story short, are you required to interlock the fingers behind your head/neck while doing sit-ups? I have always been taught to cross my arms across my chest and hold onto the opposite shoulder. Will I be "allowed" to cross my arms like this or is there a required arm stature for doing sit-ups?

  • Soo, why is everyone suddenly liking Michael Jackson again.?

I am not saying that I hate the guy, I am just asking. For the past, I do not know how many years, everyone pointed fingers, called him names and accused him of things ( not saying that he is guilty or not). As soon as he passes away everyone loves him again like they did idk 20 years ago. Like when he was putting out x amount of platinum records. Now everyone wants to play all of his songs an things, request them on the radio. I am not sure. It just seems like some people are a little bias.

I am not saying that everyone that is wanting to hear his music is like this. But there are some that didn't want a thing to do with him and now they love him. Some people have been fans all along.

Just wondering. I suppose he is one of those artists that got his name back after he passed away.

  • How to pick a military job?

I am enlisting on Wednesday. I am on the fence with about 4 different jobs. I would love to have any of them as a career, but I cannot pick only one. How would you go about choosing the one job to enlist under. I qualify for all of these. Would you base your decision on the sign on bonus if there were one or what? Training for these jobs I believe is at the same place.

Who knows, I may get to MEPS and pick a whole different job. Any ideas on how to pick one?

  • weighted grade/gpa help?

Can someone explain this to me?

In a college, some courses contribute more towards an overall GPA than other courses. For example, a science class is worth 4 points; mathematics is worth 3 points; history is worth 2 points; and English is worth 3 points. The values of the grade letters are as follows, A= 4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0. What is the GPA of a student who made a “C” in Trigonometry, a “B” in American History, an “A” in Botany, and a “B” in Microbiology?

    and the answer is 88.9

I cannot get this answer to save my life.

    Thanks in advance

Can someone please give a general idea of pricing for braces for an adult of these three kinds. Also, what about the ones that go behind the teeth? I am scared that these would push my teeth outward and make me look like a horse LOL.

  • Anyone have Mirena as birth control? If so ?

I just got Mirena IUD today. For those of you who have it, does the string ever soften any. The strings on mine prick me. I thought they would be more like string not plastic. If not, and you have noticed this, do you ever get use to the pricking? Im not sure if they can shorten the string anymore than it already is. Thanks in advance for helpful answers.

  • Has anyone here gone to college online? How did things end up for you?

I am currently looking into college online. For convince mostly. I have a full time job and two babies at home. My question is has anyone actually went to college online and how did things turn out for you? I am somewhat scared that I'll end up being scammed. Also, was your degree taken seriously in the professional world. I have heard that some companies don't look at these degrees like they would if you went to class on campus. Oh and if you went to an online college, which one did you use and would you recommend it to others?
