Why is the Trash folder not being emptied?
My Trash folder has over 700 messages, going back several weeks. Even when I went into it an explicitly manually deleted some emails, they remain.
1 AnswerAbuse and Spam4 years agoIs this news story fake? "Man helps stop bleeding of 12 -year-old girl after she is shot"?
Here is the first part of it. It looks like it was written by a child that is too young to know how to write paragraphs:
"ROCKFORD (WREX) - The director of Rock House Kids says it's usually pretty quiet outside the center on Sunday afternoons. But this Sunday was a different story as gunfire filled the air. A whole bunch of gunshots went off so i had a bad feeling something happened. Police say bullets hit a young child. Her family says she is 12-year-old and her name is Jaleena Ducksworth. The director of Rock House Kids says she was walking past the center on her way home to a birthday party. "She had many friends. She's a well liked child," says Rock House Kids Executive Director Dola Gregory..."

I received a pretty obvious SPAM email, claiming to be from an Administrator at Yahoo. Why isn't Yahoo filtering out such an obvious phishing email? It was actually sent from an AOL account, but was marked as "Administrator" and "signed" at the bottom as being from "Yahoo".Here is what it said:

1 AnswerAbuse and Spam6 years agoDoes anyone else keep being interrupted when writing an email?
I use my browser to access Yahoo email.
In just the last couple of days (since about November 24), I cannot complete the email before a pop-up interrupts it. The popup is as if I had tried to close the email while composing it. The message asks if I want to save it before closing it.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I am using the Chrome browser on Windows Vista. What are you using?
7 AnswersNotices and Errors7 years agoWhat happened to the "+" plus sign in Yahoo Mail to easily add new contacts?
Before the new format, on Yahoo Mail, when I received an email from someone that was not in my contact list, there was a plus sign "+" next to the name that let me add that person to my contact list. Now that plus sign is gone. Is there another way to easily add a person to Contacts without actually opening up the Contacts?
As far as I can tell, right now I need to click on Contacts and manually add the person's name and email. That was not necessary previously.
2 AnswersNotices and Errors8 years agoWhat is an alternative to Yahoo Groups, since the new Groups is unusable?
Yahoo has forced a new and unusable format on Groups, with no warning and no way to change back to the old format. Thousands of people are complaining in their forum, especially group moderators/owners. For myself, I cannot search messages any more, and cannot even reply to messages or post new ones.
So, if anyone has a competing Groups website, I'd like to know what it is. Maybe even invest in it, since Yahoo is creating a market for an alternative to Groups.
Suggestions?
10 AnswersYahoo Groups8 years agoIn the New Yahoo Groups, how do I search for messages?
There is no place on the new Yahoo Groups screen to search through the Messages in our particular group. There is only a place for searching through ALL groups. Does anyone know how to search just one group in the poorly designed new Yahoo Groups?
2 AnswersYahoo Groups8 years agoIs Yahoo Mail down for you, too?
Yahoo mail does not work right now but Yahoo itself is OK. How about for you?
3 AnswersNotices and Errors8 years agoWhy is Yahoo not allowing comments on Dharun Ravi?
Yahoo seems to be blocking comments on the story about Dharun Ravi, the former Rutgers student that has shown no remorse for driving his gay roommate to suicide. Here is the link:

Why are no comments allowed on this story?
2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Products9 years agoWhat happened to the "badge" that I had for logging in to Yahoo?
A while back, Yahoo had urged me to create a "badge" for logging in so that I would know that the login was real not spoofed. Now, it is gone. OK, the obvious answer is NOT the right answer because the URL is still correct. Yahoo, what did you do?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Products10 years agoShould Senator Chuck Grassley give up his government health care package?
Very recently, (see the link below) Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) told a constituent (!) that in order to get the same health care as the senator has, that the man should go work for the government. But, Sen.Grassley is a Republican, supposedley against expanding governement. And the senator has been against the recent proposals for involving government in health care. Yet his health care is provided by the government! Should the senator give up his government-supplied health care and seek private health insurance to show his commitment to his "principles"?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow many people have read (or want to read) "State of Denial" by Bob Woodward, the famous Watergate reporter?
It is ranked Number One today, on Amazon.com
It is about one of the top circumstances that affects all of our lives, every day.
But I wonder how many people on Yahoo Answers are interested in it? Or, is Yahoo Answers populated by people who generally are not interested in the world that we live in?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo you think Ken Lay's conviction for Enron should be wiped clean?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060816/ap_on_bi_ge/en...
Ken Lay was convicted in the Enron case, but now he has died and his lawyers want to clear his record because he cannot appeal the conviction. Happily the government is not willing to do that. What do you think - should the judge clear his name or let the conviction stand?
9 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoOnly answer this if you are offended by the four-letter "F" word!!?
I was surprised that someone was offended by the phrase "it was screwed up" - they took it as if I had used the four-letter "F" word. (If you don't know what that is, please don't answer this question.)
This was a customer service agent, who objected to the language, did not want to write it down the way I said it.
It made me wonder how many people feel the same way.
So the question is: if you are offended by the "F" word, would you be offended by the phrase "it was screwed up"?
