Used tires to stop oil spill ?
Shoot the area with lots of used rubber tires.
Try this at home.
Put two rubber ball (with diameter a little bit smaller than the diameter of the pipe) inside a pipe (slightly bent the pipe), one on each sides, fill the the pipe with gasoline.
The rubber ball will 'grow' and covered/sealed the pipe, it can't be moved out of the pipe anymore.

I would suggest that they throw a lot of huge rocks to cover it, hundreds to thousands tons of it. They may drill it again in the future. (They had thrown only one 100 ton cube to it which missed the target, then now they will try again to throw only one smaller cube).
Second suggestion is to drill more at the area near that spill now in order to release the pressure. This might be more difficult and dangerous to do than just throwing the rocks.
So cover it with rocks first then drill more near that area might be a better solution.

If Obamacare pass, the 'poor' will still get their free healthcare like now, the 'rich' will still get their private healthcare (maybe outside U.S.), but the Middle Class will be stucked with the mandatory to buy insurance or else they will go to jail.

Public Healthcare for all, funded by our Medicare Tax.
Private Healthcare for people can pay more and seek more exclusive treatment. They can buy insurance if they want to / or if they are worry of malpractice.
No mandatory to buy insurance. Insurance is not healthcare provider.
One of the problem of why insurance cost soar is that the person who never buy insurance (people on Medicaid) can claim millions in lawsuit, you can't claim a winning lottery sum if you never buy the lottery ticket.
PS: Canada and US have similar tax rate. Canadian are not mandated to buy insurance to get their free public healthcare.
