  • How to install printer drivers Knoppix V5.01?

    Has any one found a SOLUTION to the issue with getting printers to work under CUPS in V5.02 ? ?

    I've tried all the tricks I can find online, but NO JOY.....

    The KDE Printer Wizard will get as far as asking for the printer

    driver and the tell me it can not access the printer driver due to

    permissions.

    V4.02 I can print fine, but it has a horrendous time keeping issue

    when run under VMPlayer (a number of linnux distros have this issue not just knoppix, it has to do with the clock tick resolution in the kernel, and 5.01 seems to fix it or work better with VMP1.02) where as V5.01 works better in a number of areas, but I can't print to either local printers or printers on Samba shares.

    Any one got a hammer to fix this issue? ?
