  • 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ edition (auto) with service engine light on after car lurched in drive.?

2002 mitsubishi Lancer OZ rally Auto lurched while in drive and service engine light came on. It seems like the trans is stuck in a very high gear 4th or 5th since when I press down on the accelerator I can reach 50MPH in the same gear. Revs are higher then normal for the regular drive gear, when I switch to Drive 1 which would rev high it acts more like the normal drive gear. I just had a new battery & alternator put in last week, but that shouldn't be able to affect the transmission. I put the car in reverse and tried the other gears but normal drive ain't workin correctly. I will be taking the car in for further diags but I am not gonna put anymore money into this car then I have to.

Thanks in advance for everyone's advice.

  • Should I break up with my GF or give her time?

Been dating my GF for almost two months, I'm 27 and she's almost 20. She recently told me that she is not sure if our relationship is what she wants right now and thinks she's just not ready and needs more time. Do you think she's getting cold feet or nervous about settling down with someone or if she is really not ready for a serious relationship? Should I give her the time and just be friends for a while or just breakup with her and move on? We both like each other and I really thought she could be the one for me. I'm leaning toward breaking up with her if our relationship is just going to go nowhere.
