  • Hey conservatives, why do you always start stuff on the Internet?

Obviously, the very existence of this question is ironic, but I want to know. Hardliner conservatives are everywhere, with zero tolerance to differing opinions. Everything has to become political, they always have to spew their rhetoric everywhere, and they use terms that make my braincells die ('Obummer", "libtards"). Am I just seeing the radical side of conservatism? Keep in mind I'm almost exactly neutral, I lean very slightly left and libertarian even less so.

  • Can anyone give me advice on a martial art to choose?

I've always been interested in martial arts as a great way to strengthen my body and mind. Mastering a martial art would likely boost my physique and give me a much needed boost in confidence.

However, here are a few caveats: I'm not a thin person. I'm not obese, however. Also, I'm definitely not in shape. Furthermore, I'm not highly flexible at the moment. I'm also afraid I might be a late starter. I'm 16 at the moment.

Feel free to respond however you feel about this question. I'd prefer an honest, realistic answer than a hollow, optimistic one.

  • Rash on arms appeared acutely?

To be more specific, a couple days ago, I noticed a few very small bumps that were itchy. The symptoms went away rather quickly (within a day or two) and the bumps seemed to subside. However, today, I looked at my arm, and there was a very large area of both my lower arms (past the elbows to almost the wrist) covered in rashes. They barely itched, but the the bumps from before are large and splotchy now. Unfortunately, when I tried applying anti-itch (I believe it had anti-histamines) cream, they began to itch a lot more. Anyone willing to share possible explanations for my malady?

  • Whenever I concentrate with all the fibers of my being, I itch crazily. Any explanations?

For example, there's this concentration-intensive game called osu!, and sometimes, when I try really hard, I start itching crazily and I can't concentrate. Anyone know if I'm just nuts or if it's a normal phenomenon?

  • Would it be OK to use the word "hell" in an SAT essay?

Lucky me, I get to study for the SAT during the summer.

So I was about to take a practice test right now, so I opened the book I was studying from.

Since it isn't a real test, I decided to take a few liberties and check if using the word "hell" would be acceptable.

Like I said, I was taking a few liberties, so I already know what the essay topic is:

"Are we free to make our own choices in life, or are our decisions always limited by the rules of society?"

I planned to include an anecdote as support when I first saw the topic. But I just wanted to check if the word "hell" would be acceptable in this context:

In a hell created by society, qualifications are determined by credentials and standardized tests, rather than useful skills.

  • Bing or Google?

I really wanna know. Highly opinionated, biased answers please. Target answers are "American" answers.

    My Opinion: Bing.

Bing has better search results for literally everything. Took the BIng vs. Google test, which hopefully wasn't faked by Microsoft.

Besides, Bing has better search filters for videos, such as choosing resolution and SafeSearch actually being able to be turned OFF!

Bing is better for porn anyways ;)

  • Question about Wireshark?

I was wondering if Wireshark can be used to analyze packets sent over an Ethernet connection. What I'm trying to say here is that the target of my, *ahem*, educational excursion is a 802.1x EAP secured wifi AP. However, the Ethernets are filtered (by Barracuda) but are unsecured (in the sense anyone with a internet-capable device and an Ethernet cord can freely browse the Web.) Thus, I am wondering whether packet analysis from sniffing an Ethernet connection could reveal any useful login info for the wifi AP.

    Thanks.
